The Imprisoned

From Koei Tecmo Wiki

The Imprisoned (封印されしもの, Fūinsareshi Mono) is a recurring boss in Hyrule Warriors. It originated from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Role in Game

Gameplay

Boss Abilities

  • The imprisoned raises a foot and stomps the ground, creating a weak shockwave. At lower health, it generates red shockwaves with wider range.
  • The Imprisoned slides around, tackling anyone in its way.
  • The Imprisoned roars, generating a series of shockwaves and regenerating its toes.

Counter Strategies

Unlike other bosses, the Imprisoned can only be weakened by destroying its toes. Because it is constantly stomping around, it is a good idea to target one foot when it is not moving. As its health dwindles, its foot stomps generate larger shockwaves, making it imperative to dodge before destroying its toes.

In the Wii U version, the Imprisoned automatically recovers after at least half of its weak point gauge is depleted. Subsequent versions make it possible to deplete its weak point gauge in a single round.
