Role in Games
Samurai Warriors
Samurai Warriors first introduces Kageie Kakizaki at Kawanakajima fighting against the forces of the Takeda. He next fights at Ueda Castle taking to the frontlines with his commander during Kenshin's story. Kakizaki soon fights at Gifu Castle to help capture Sunomata. During the two former stages, he stays outside the castle while Kenshin heads inside to clear the remainders. For the Kawanakajima Showdown, Kageie fights at Hachimanbara against the Takeda. In Kenshin's alternate final stage, Anegawa, Kakizaki engages Nobufusa Baba and must be assisted. At Shingen's siege of Azuchi Castle, Kageie arrives along with select Uesugi fighters to interlop with the battle. At Odawara Castle in Yoshimoto's story, he tries to warn the Suruga lord.
In the sequel, Kageie's role is the same at Kawanakajima. He lives past his historical death in Kenshin's story and fights at Sekigahara in a final battle. At Kyushu, Kageie guards the Uesugi camp against the Shimazu and remaining Oda forces. On Nagamasa's version of Sekigahara, he arrives as reinforcements for the Takeda-Uesugi alliance.
For Samurai Warriors 3, Kageie first chronologically appears at the Sagami-Suruga conflict as an interloper. He next fights in the 1561 siege of Odawara against the Hojo. Despite having no historical involvement at Mimasetoge, Kakizaki is among the Uesugi allied with the Hojo during the battle.
During Spirit of Sanada, Kageie is amongst Kenshin's officers at Kawanakajima. His party is responsible for barring Masayuki's path from Shingen at Mt. Saijo, but the young commander is able to break through their blockade and makes it to Shingen.
He then appears at Hachimanbara River, engaging with Kansuke Yamamoto, who is attempting to give his lord access to escape through the river. Although Kageie is successful in killing Kansuke, he is defeated once again by Masayuki.
Warriors Orochi
Kageie Kakizaki fights for the Uesugi-Takeda alliance in Warriors Orochi against the forces of Orochi. In Warriors Orochi 2, Kageie joins with the Samurai faction led by Sakon.
Kessen III
For his role in Kessen III, Kageie fights the Oda only one time at Kuzuryu River. After the battle, he is presumed to be dead.
