Nagayori Murai is an officer who once served under Toshiie during Nobunaga's lifetime, a retainer known to have a close, brotherly bond with his lord. He was known to have the nickname “Bearded Lord” (髭殿, Hige-Dono) with many people claiming that he had impressive facial hair. Historians argue that this name is a far-fetched parallel to Liu Bei and Guan Yu's relationship from Romance of the Three Kingdoms invented during modern times and is not an actual historical nickname.
