Nyashiba Hidenaga
Hidenaga Hashiba is Hideyoshi's half-brother and loyally served the Toyotomi clan until his dying days.
His Nobunaga's Ambition counterpart is thirty-eighth place in Gamecity's character popularity ranking for 2015. He placed twelfth in the Nobunaga no Yabou Taishi poll for most favorite father; fans voted him ninth for the best leader poll and tenth for best subordinate.
Role in Games
Hidenaga's first appearance in the Samurai Warriors series comes in the form of Xtreme Legends where he appears as part of the Hashiba and Oda forces in the new storylines. His first appearance is accompanying his half-brother at Kanegasaki and is entrusted with important tasks such as defending the main camp at Komaki and Mt Tenno in the battle of Yamazaki, although this is not true in the first ittle due to Mitsuhide Akechi only having the stage there.
In the next two games, he also appears in the battles of Shizugatake and Komaki-Nagakute. Chronicle 2nd and 4-II establishes Hidenaga as a heartfelt and resourceful leader who is extraordinarily kind to his retainers. Takatora admires his qualities enough to welcome his service to him and overlook Hidenaga's family relation to Hideyoshi. Both narratives have Hidenaga become frail and perish to illness by the Kyushu campaign.
He continues to follow his brother in the Warriors Orochi series, serving as a replacement officer for him and Nene.
Mōri Motonari: Chikai no Sanshi stations Hidenaga as one of Hideyoshi's aids during the battles against Terumoto. Like Kanbei, he is first seen during the battle at Kōzuki Castle and shares his brother's concerns about facing the Mōri army. He is among the defeated Oda generals who tries to protect Hideyoshi's escape at Himeji Castle.

Historical Information
Regarded as Hideyoshi's right-hand man, he was active during the Toyotomi's unification of Japan. For his contributions in the capture of Kyushu, he was given the provinces of Kii, Izumi, and Yamato which culminated in an income of one million koku. His death from illness caused Hideyoshi much grief and further muddled inheritance issues within the Toyotomi clan.
