Gallery

Hey, I just wanted to know your reasoning for not having the Dynasty Warriors 6 artwork images in their respective character's Gallery. There's really no reason why we can't have them there, even if it is on the page twice. I also wanted to know why you removed the Trivia I added to the Sun Quan/Liu Bei/Huang Gai articles. Thanks for your time! GreatPanda 22:18, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The trivia was removed because the case of their faces not changing is the same for every character. Removal of the 6 artwork was mostly because I felt it was redundant to see it twice. There's no real reason to have it there and all it does is increase the page's loading time. It feels like were trying to spam the viewer without a real purpose. kyosei 22:27, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

But the reason I added the Trivia is because the specific characters' costumes[which are supposed to be the exact design from DW6] had differences between the costumes. They kept current-gen features when the whole costume was supposed to be next-gen. Also, I'll quote myself - "It's not "[redundant]" at all - It would be redundant if we used an image fourteen times in an article. There's the image at the top and bottom of a page. People will have to scroll through down a good amount before they reach that second view." It's not like viewers are going to think to themselves, "Wow, these repeating images sure makes my wait for the complete page longer. I hate this Wiki." The added loading time is too small to have anny real or notable difference. Adding the image in the Gallery is so that users won't have to scroll up and down a large page just to view an image. It's all there in one compact space. GreatPanda 22:39, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's not that hard to see the top and the bottom of the page. People can just hit the "Home" and "End" keys on their keyboard to accomplish the same thing without scrolling. Some pages aren't even that long to begin with. I'd also rather people come to read what's actually written on the pages rather than come to look at the pictures and then leave. Adding the same picture again encourages the latter attitude. kyosei 23:00, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The part about the top and bottom of a page didn't really relate to the topic at hand, but OK. The point of editing this Wiki is to help expand it, pages will eventually be long if all goes well. And how does having all the images in one place encourage just looking at pictures then leaving? Even if people do look at the gallery and leave, they can just look at the bottom of the page, then scroll to the top and leave. Not having the image in the gallery won't do anything to prevent it. GreatPanda 23:24, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don't see how adding the same picture in the gallery helps expand a page. No new information is actually being added. Having all the pictures in one place encourages people to just to look at that and nothing else. They won't look at anything else in the page and thus most likely not feel inclined to help edit. I didn't say it wasn't going to prevent it, just slightly discourage it. Also the bit about the Warriors Orochi Z outfits not changing everything in the design is already mentioned in the game page itself. kyosei 23:51, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm pretty sure I never said anything about adding the [same]picture on a page expands it. You accidentally mixed the two ideas into one. Having a full gallery doesn't encourage readers to look at that and "nothing else", all it does is provide a full selection of an item's/stage's/character's pictures. It's purpose is for convenience, mostly. I know you never said anything about not having the same image preventing a look-and-run behavior. I mentioned it to say that not having an image wouldn't help anything. And thank you for clearing the WO:Z mix-up. GreatPanda 00:08, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don't see how convenience is really all that important. It doesn't add anything once again coming back to feeling redundant. kyosei 00:23, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So, what you're saying is that the comfortableness and ease of browsing and searching through this Wiki isn't important? It may not add any information, but it adds some sort or homely atmosphere. And again, having something, an image twice in an article is not at all redundant. It's two times. The number after one. And the pictures are at opposite ends of the articles, so [after completed], readers, once again, will have to sort through a good amount before looking at that image again. GreatPanda 01:23, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I suppose a better way to sum up why I feel it is redundant would be to say I feel the character page, in of itself, is already a kind of gallery. The pictures are already gathered in one place for the said character and thus no need for anything to be repeated. I also kind of see images as something similar to a wikilink. Once something has been linked once in the article, there's no need to link it again. kyosei 01:36, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, I guess that's one way to see it. I don't really agree with your opinion, but, I see what you're getting at. Perhaps the next time an Admin gets on, he can help resolve the issue. GreatPanda 01:42, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey, thanks for creating the talk page for me, since I login using my AceWiki username. And , can you please upload Dynasty Warriors 6 weapons for some characters? I will appreciate that. Thank You Black Falcon 02:14, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Actually, though it may say my username, it's actually the automated welcome message wikia does for new users and uses the wiki's admin username to sign the message. In answer to your request, the reason I haven't put up the Dynasty Warriors 6 weapons for the free mode characters is mostly due to the fact that they look the same for every type (i.e. strength, skill and standard). The only thing that changes is the color of the background the weapon is on. I didn't want to put up essentially the same image 3 times. So it's a matter of figuring out a template/chart which will specify the name of the weapon for each type then putting up one picture. kyosei 03:43, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Congrats

I see your the new Admin, just wanted to extend my congradulations to you! And also joy that we now have a new slav.. Admin to help block IP's and Delete pages. Treasure

Is there a place to put treasure found in Warriors Orochi 2 on the wikia.Jediknight Vampire 12:15, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Like I said, just make a new page named: Treasure. Make a small intro paragraph describing what the page is for and list the treasures and their objectives to your heart's content. You can easily create a new page by clicking on the link on the side bar or on the Create a New Article button on the Main Page. Kyosei 12:18, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi!

Hey. You contacted me about a small edit to the Lu Bu page a minute ago, although I don't know whether it was just an automated message or not. I was actually looking at the page because I was reading a fanfic with some Dynasty Warriors crossover and I was wondering who the character was. I noticed someone had used the word "grew" much like you might find in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and being a bit of a grammar nazi, I changed it. I've never actually played the game, but it looks really interesting. I might try it out next chance I get.

You've got a very well run, well organised, and very comprehensive small wiki here. Kudos to you for that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by I'MNOTCRAZY (talkcontribs)

On the Hideyoshi Toyotomi page, I had added his fifth weapon information, but I'm not sure I have it place right. Could you check it to make sure it is?Jediknight Vampire 10:23, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Category names

If I meant to have them all in Japanese order I would have moved them. But well whatever, people are always refered in list with last name-first name order.... It looks a little... messed up in first name-last name order. User:Master Sima Yi August 26th, 2009

You mind if I add all the characters that appear in the WO series to Category:Warriors Orochi Characters instead of just the WO-exclusive ones? I have added the SW characters and DW characters categories to it, but that also includes the new SW3 characters. Master Sima Yi August 27th, 2009

Actually, the thing with the "people know them under this name order" doesn't make any sense. Look up an encyclopedia, or wikipedia, you won't find Barack Obama under the "B". So why should it be different here?

Master Sima Yi 18:33, September 27, 2009 (UTC)

I'm not saying it has to be the same. I'm saying that most informative sources don't list it like this. Master Sima Yi 18:40, September 27, 2009 (UTC)

What? Which original authors? What did I copy? Master Sima Yi 15:12, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

Oh, now I see. But I didn't just copy it, I put it in my own words as much as I could. Master Sima Yi 15:14, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

That is how I learn it in school in Holland. Plus, maybe you should know that you are talking to a 15-year old. And I have a problem with concentrating, so if I do any research I usually forget most of it. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I'm just trying to help others. Master Sima Yi 05:40, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Haha, okay. How about I try to make a new one and I'll let you check? May take some time though since I also have school to worry about. Master Sima Yi 14:09, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, so I made one for Kagekatsu Uesugi. I have to say that it still looks quite the same to SamuraiWiki's one. That's because it was still in the back of my head a bit and it was hard finding usefull information about him. Still, I didn't put anything in my own words but I did what you said: take notes, and then I made it. Master Sima Yi 15:14, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, you can delete them for now. Except for the Takanobu one, he is quite important in other games like Nobunaga's Ambition. Master Sima Yi 07:37, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Featured article

Just wanted to apologize for being so aggressive in the Voting place. I just want to help the wikia by stirring up a vote for new Featured article. Mainly the users I would like involved would be Sake Neko, Master Sima Yi, and yourself. I see why you wouldn't want to vote as an admin, and agree with the logic, but your a user like everyone else here, so I would think it proper to enjoy all things like all users. I do think both of us see eachothers point of view, so I hope all goes well from this. It might also be a suggestion to delete our conversavion in the voting area as it is rather lengthy and might scare off a vote. I just want to see this running well between all members.Moogle Buddy 19:55, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

There has been a screenshot of SW3, with a mission that says Defeat Aya in the Uesugi main camp. So she's in. Master Sima Yi 18:23, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Well, she's now officially confirmed! Check the main page of KOEI Warriors. She, along with DW: StrikeForce 2, which has Da Qiao and Shi Huangdi, are there. Master Sima Yi 06:21, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Also, just wanted to let you know that the final character is most likely Motonari. Click here. Though, I'm just going to wait until he's officially confirmed. Master Sima Yi 14:18, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Kotaro Fuma

Dear Kyosei, I am sorry I made the edit on Kotaro Fuma unregistered. Now that I am logged on I want to tell you I am Chinese and that I can read Japanese kanji, as it originates from Chinese. The character 疾 means swift as in swift wind 疾風 whereas it means disease as in 疾病. As Kotaro is a ninja but not a plague-distributor, I am most certain that 疾 means swiftness in this place. Best Regards, Sfa00062 04:41, January 12, 2010 (UTC) P.S. The characters are visible after selecting BIG5 display, sorry for typing in Chinese...

Hanzo's Bio

About Hattori Hanzo. His given name is Masashige. Masanari was his son; Hanzo the second. He led over 200 ninja from the Koga and Iga clans and wrote a Ninjutsu document called the Ninpiden.Kusanagi Hiei 22:18, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

K

Okay. But also, why wouldn't you want an organized gallery? I don't see anything wrong with the sizes. And I was going to do it for all the characters. Wouldn't you want the galleries to have order rather than just drop everything in one messy pile? Tomboy Daisy 21:23, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

It's a messy pile because the only organization it has is going in order of the games. And then we just randomly have other things like series not connected to warriors games. I don't see how categorizing art from renders and then especially from misc. items is a bad thing. I see you apparently have an issue with content amount, but I don't see anything repetitive or unneeded about making a gallery better. Tomboy Daisy 01:28, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

Wow, alright. There's no point in trying to reason with someone so set on what they think anyway. Tomboy Daisy 15:42, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

Hanzo

If Hanzo wasnt a ninja then how come normal wikipedia say's he is and stephan k. hayes who studies ninjutsu says he is how samurai archive's say he's a ninja how come loads of books such as ninja attack! true tales of assassins samurai and outlaws who had a team that read historical manual's state he was a ninja master, ninjutsu reaserchers such as anthony cummins who translates ninjustsu manual's say he's a ninja and even japanese wikipedia state he's a ninja in catagory, I meen if so many things state he is a ninja then he could be both samurai and ninja as it wasnt a social class. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.195.133.140 (talkcontribs)

Are you seriously going to tell me: "The internet says it's true so therefore it must be!" Have you read any of the books translated by Anthony? Or read any of these supposed records that state he was a ninja. Do they specifically state that the Hanzo Samurai Warriors uses was a ninja? There is more than one Hanzo after all. This particular Hanzo was never stated to be one by any actual respected Japanese historians. In fact, while you state Japanese Wikipedia as one of your sources, it too does not say Hanzo was a ninja. There's also the matter that the ninja category they tag him under does not exclusively cover ninjas. It is used to cover articles related to ninja even if the subject itself is not one themselves. Also, Stephan K. does not a historian make. He may fancy himself a ninja expert but I am not simply going to trust his word as fact when it comes to history because he is not a historian. Kyosei 19:05, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
well yes i have shinobi soldiers and hattori hanzo the devil ninja are two books by anthony, i know which hanzo i am talking about hattori hanzo the 2nd i am not saying your wrong about him bieng a samurai but when there are so many thing's going back to the 1920's saying he's a ninja there must be a possibility and ninja attack a new book that i got states he is a ninja and and the people who wrote it are translaters that's all i dont care if you to put he was ninja or not i am just saying he could be both also hattori yasunaga was a ninja right ? and his son masanari wasnt —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.195.133.140 (talkcontribs)
Masanari is the Hanzo Samurai Warriors is using and therefore what we're basing the historical section on. Not his father. Kyosei 19:28, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
i wasnt talking about his father i was talking about Hattori Hanzo Masanari and when i said masanari at the end i ment Hattori Hanzo Masanari's son who was also called Masanari, but with so many things saying that he was a ninja you got to amit there is a possability that he was a ninja —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.195.133.140 (talkcontribs)
Once again, I fail to see this proof as again a translator does not a historian make. A historian will also try to validate how authoritative and reliable the historical records they use are. A translator will not make this distinction. Anthony posts these testimonials on these records but I find myself skeptical as at best only some historians give credence to this via speculation and not an overwhelming majority. At best, Japanese historians will concede that Hanzo's father and grandfather were possibly ninja but again this is mostly speculative. Never do they try to label Masanari as once. This is not real a matter as ninjas being less accepted socially, this is more of a matter of trusting the reliability of the source material which makes these claims. Ninja often notoriously and purposely spread misinformation. Trusted and reliable sources will more often say he was only a samurai and not a ninja. This matter is also made more confused by the influence of popular culture. So no. I don't have to admit to any possibilities of anything if the basis of the claims being made do not have enough support to objectively believe them. Kyosei 18:05, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Hu Lao Gate edit

Whether or not you'd like to keep it doesn't matter to me, but I feel that I should respond to your edit summary. Maybe I phrased the edit wrong, and it would've been more clear to say that it was more in fact a typo -- "Dong Zhou's Main Camp" should have been "Dong Zhuo's Main Camp". The primary garrison thing was more because I didn't want to use the term 'main camp' twice in the same sentence for fear of being redundant, though I know it's practically a synonym for main camp.

Also, I never got to thank you for responding to my redirecting question on the community portal... so thank you! :D GreatPanda 00:01, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Edit characters dynasty warriors

Hello my friend ;)

Two little question, why you keep "Customization" while the page says it's talking about it already and it does nothing more ? In addition, for the games section allows it to not be able to put in 2nd category with surlignenant and instead just let bold, which is less professional. All major wiki avoids this kind of thing just to be able to have better separation and a page more professional (I'm administrator on the Fallout wiki " The Vault " is one of the largest existing one) so I think the best is to remove the section "Customization" is to put the games section in 2nd category, and may be separate one from Dynasty Warriors 4 and that of Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires that have clearly nothing to do (even at the level of models or other criteria ) unlike next Dynasty Warriors.

Thank you in advance for your answers and good day to you ! Itachou [~talk~] 13:50, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hai is this kyosei?I'm newbie in this forum so forgive me if i'm wrong.I just want to ask you a help about koei games Samurai Warriors 2 empires. How to unlock 'oath of honor' movie?I had try a faqs from a cheat website such as gamefaqs but it seem doesnt work. Can you help me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.255.180.185 (talkcontribs)

It is the best you need to buy them at the shop: Yukimura, Kanetsugu, and Mitsunari Ishida. Then start the 3 of them in General. If you directly input them in edit your own empire mode, it won't work unless if you buy them further from the stages. User_talk:Ericard 08:05, January 29, 2011 (UTC)
Hi thanks for the info ericard, but i already unlocked them,so it become imposible to recruit them in shop, they already exist as ronin and can be reruit just by search local/search wide policy.Any idea to resolve it?Or are you have sw2 empire save game? Can you send to me via email? Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.255.164.95 (talkcontribs)
Mine is a memory card from PS2 consoles. So I cannot share, but I got a few tips of getting the movie:
NOTE: Most of the character required to get them from the shop or capture them in order to work.
In order to do so, just follow in every conditions.
Oath of Friendship: During any scenario, attack a territory with Yukimura
Sanada, Mitsunari Ishida, and Kanetsugu Naoe while one of the three is the
lord.
(Buy Yukimura Sanada, Mitsunari Ishida, and Kanetsugu Naoe. Then Participate any battle.)
Dance of Death: During the Incident at Honnoji 1582 scenario, trigger the
Incident at Honnoji as the Oda clan and accept the invitation to the
battle.
( )
Onward to Honnoji: During the Incident at Honnoji 1582 scenario, trigger the
Incident at Honnoji while you are not the Oda clan. You do not have to be
a participating member in this battle to unlock the movie, but you cannot
reject participating in the battle if you are given a choice to.
(Create your own clan and let the CPU Akechi Clan invade on Nobunaga)
Premonition: During any scenario and after you have received Nagamasa Azai's
Love Story event, defend your territory using Nagamasa Azai and Oichi.
Nagamasa Azai may have to be the lord.
(Defend using Nagamasa Azai and Oichi, it only works before they were getting married.)
Monkey's Motivation: During any scenario, attack a territory controlled by
Ieyasu Tokugawa with Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Mitsunari Ishida. Both
Hideyoshi and Ieyasu have to be lords.
()
The Heaviest Burden: During the Battle of Anegawa 1570 scenario, attack
Shingen Takeda's clan at Kai with Ieyasu Tokugawa and Tadakatsu Honda and
then retreat.
()
Showdown at Sekigahara: During the Battle of Sekigahara 1600 scenario,
trigger the Battle of Sekigahara. You will be given a choice to
participate in the battle no matter which clan you are, so you must
participate in the battle.
()
Oath of Honor: During any scenario, attack a territory with Yukimura Sanada,
Mitsunari Ishida, and Kanetsugu Naoe while none of the three is the lord.
()
Caught in the Middle: During the Battle of Anegawa 1570 scenario, trigger
the Battle of Anegawa. You do not have to be a participating member in
this battle to unlock the movie, but you cannot reject participating in
the battle if you are given a choice to.
(After clear the stage in Incident at Kushyu, accept the conquerer in Japan.
Then, the cpu Oichi in Oda Clan will against Nagamasa Azai.)
Returning the Favor: During the Battle of Sekigahara 1600 scenario, play as
a force that joins the Western Army during Sekigahara. Trigger the Battle
of Sekigahara and win.
()
Devil Shimazu: During the Battle of Sekigahara 1600 scenario, play as the
Shimazu clan and participate in the Battle of Sekigahara. Retreat from
the battle and then use Hard March to attack the Oda clan at the fief of
Mino.
()
Kawanakajima: During the Battle of Kawanakajima 1560 scenario, trigger the
Battle of Kawanakajima. You do not have to be a participating member in
this battle to unlock the movie, but you cannot reject participating in
the battle if you are given a choice to.
()
A Simple Request: During any scenario, finish a battle with Hideyoshi
Toyotomi and without Nene. Hideyoshi must be the lord of the army. You
may have to have already activated the Monkey's Motivation movie and Nene
may have to be far away from where the battle takes place.
()
Meanwhile, at Ganryujima: During any scenario, have Musashi Miyamoto and
Kojiro Sasaki in neighboring fiefs. There may be something more to this.
(This is the only movie I have not gotten, so I don't know the exact
requirements.)

Bladestorm

Where is the "Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War" characters info?User_talk:Ericard 08:29, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

I've promote your wiki page at: http://soulcalibur.wikia.com/wiki/Soulcalibur_Wiki

This is the best way to update the bladestorm character in here(koei).User_talk:Ericard 06:38, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Your welcome, I was just curious about bladestorm for the PS2. Last month, just after CNY, I was hang around at Damansara Store at KL with my cousins. I saw the pirated DVD version of Bladestorm for PS2. I saw the package and it didn't write anything about KOEI, but only a CAPCOM logo was in it. So, I leave that game and purchase DW5:Empire. Few weeks later, I saw the Bladestorm wallpapers in this wiki and I was so regret for not buying that game before. But I will look around if it's available someday.User_talk:Ericard 10:37, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

If not bladestorm, what picture do you preffer?User_talk:Ericard 20:40, March 9, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe DW and SW, or Warriors Orochi. But all their arts doesn't fit at all. Can you recommended me the best picture for Koei?User_talk:Ericard 21:17, March 9, 2011 (UTC)

I've seen the art, ROTK is much more better for Koei.User_talk:Ericard 12:26, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

WO2

I just brought the Warriors Orochi 2 last week and the game was awesome compare to other series. Also, I've just did some research on the Samurai Officers(NPC) and Orochi Unit seems that they were using Zhou Yun's battle lance style. Warriors Orochi 1 supposed to be using the original style such as katana, spear and naginata, but it appears that they used the same style from the Dynasty characters such as Katana replace the style as Sun Jian, and Naginata/Spear replace the style as Zhou Yun.User_talk:Ericard 10:35, March 15, 2011 (UTC)

ok.User_talk:Ericard 00:55, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Hi

I am unsure if you're the adminstrator or is Sake Neko, but can you delete the picture in my profile? I didn't know that it would show up in the range of pictures on the main site. And I think you edited the Orochi page, because of the trivial and maybe friviolous trivia. But I guess out of pure speculation, doesn't make it official. To be sincere of opinion, it is evident that his tiara does have religious symbolism. Tea Posy 04:04, April 26, 2011 (UTC) Tea Posy

Image deleted. For trivia try to avoid fan speculation or opinion. Popular fan memes or official trivia is preferred for trivia sections. Besides if the trivia starts referring to some kind of symbolism at that point it should go into the character symbolism section and not trivia. Kyosei 04:21, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

I do not see why the page Ju Shou was deleted; the page Cao Fang has very little information as well. Deeming it "useless" is one thing, but scarce content is another. I hope that you consider to rebuild the page with more information; remember the Cao Fang page. Grey Furb 20:46, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

File: Quan (whatever) deletions

It has come to my attention that you are deleting previously uploaded images for the newly-added pages of men who served at Zhuge Dan's Rebellion on the Wu side that's names start with Quan (ex. Quan Ji, Quan Jing). They are needed, because the reader may want to get an idea what the certain character looks like. Otherwise, there is no identification of the character and thus no picture of said people's appearences. If you can, I would like very much for you to revert the deletions. well take into consideration that's the design they gave him for winning the contest. Saying that's what he would look like if he did appear in DW7. sense he is appearing in DW7XL, i think its safe to say that's what he will look like, but thats just my opinion. Can it be there just as a placement up until his official design for 7:XL is released?

front paged featured article typo

Hey just want to let ya know that the front page featured article Dynasty Warriors 6 has a typo, i think next general console is supposed to be "next gen console". Anyways just let ya know because i can't change the front page or idk how cause i'm rather new to wikia. Anyways imma big fan of this series soo just to let ya know :)

Changes

Hello Kyosei. I have noticed that over the course of the past year or so, this wiki's system has hardly changed, yet other wikis have progressed greatly to a higher standard. I do not know if you prefer the wiki the way it is now, but there are a few things that I could help you a lot with to... polish the wiki a bit.

First off, a custom wiki background might make the wiki look more attractive to visitors. Most new wikis have other custom backgrounds with images about the games or upcoming releases. For example, the Assassin's Creed Wiki has a background about the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Revelations. A colleague of mine at the AC Wiki is a fellow DW and SW fan, and is great with Photoshop. I have no doubt he would be able to make something beautiful worthy of being the background for this wiki.

The second thing is sourcing. Though I'm not sure if the wiki is visited by a lot of people, sourcing is a way to tell people where certain bits of information or pictures are from and where they can find them. Sourcing takes up a minimum amount of space, and is easily overview-able. For more information on this, check this link.

I've also noticed that the wiki doesn't have a real staff hierarchy. What I have been able to find out is that there are five sysops, of which only two are active; yourself and Whopper. As evidenced on certain other wikis, a bureaucrat could take up someting of a leading figure on the wiki and could be the higher spot of hierarchy. Additionally, rollbacks (or moderators) could prove useful for reverting vandal edits, and could serve as the bottom spot on the staff hierarchy. I think rollback rights could be useful to users such as Sake neko, who seem to be active on this wiki most of their time. A page about the staff would also give additional information to the ordinary users, and could make it more overview-able. An example can once again be found here.

I am not forcing you into doing these things, I simply offer to help you with these should you accept them. It may very well be because of things like these that the AC Wiki is among the top 5 ranking gaming wikis, and they may help increase this wiki's popularity too. Even if they may not tickle your fancy, I ask that you take them into consideration for the sake of the wiki. I occassionally come here for information, and I find the wikis blunt appearance to be disturbing. I hope to hear your opinion soon. -- Master Sima Yi 22:00, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

EDIT: Another thing I have seen is that you use the character artworks for infoboxes. I am not sure why you do that, but I take it is out of personal preference. Though it is a minor thing, the artworks do not give a clear view of the characters, while high quality renders could do that. They are also more accurate to the character appearances, since some of the character artworks (Bao Sanniang's, for example) give a more cartoonish portrayal of the characters, which isn't show in the games themselves. Plus, new characters like Guo Jia and Wang Yi don't have character artworks released, and the manual of style is different for them. It would look cleaner to have them all in the same form. -- Master Sima Yi 22:15, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Sima Yi

Hello Kyosei, I wish to speak to you about something Regarding Sima Yis art works on the DW Series Page. I've been speaking to Sake Neko about this matter and he feels that You should be the one to make the final decision on the matter.

I Think it would be best to remove Sima Yi from the Wei Kingdom section, as he is no longer part of the kingdom. As well as remove Sima Yi from the Wei section of the DW Series Template. My reasons are as fallows, copied and pasted from my conversation with SakeNeko:

I know his removal from Wei is, so far, only for one game. But i feel having him on the page for both kingdoms is a waste of space. So what if he "Was" with Wei, he isn't anymore. KOEI acknowledges Sima Yi as mainly with Jin, and only temporarily with Wei.
Its sorta like how Even though Wu wasn't established till Sun Quan took over, Ce and Jian are still Wu characters. Up till then they were just a Free Lance Army.
Also, having him in the Wei kingdom section takes up unnecessary space. I mean why should he have special treatment, just because He Used to be Wei.
Hes no longer part of the wei Kingdom, so i see no reason for him to be there anymore.

Sake Nekos response considered the cut characters, talking about how they were cut but were not removed from the DW Series Page. the fallowing is my response to his statement:

Well i never expected Zuo Ci and Pang De to be removed, they were still playable characters. But Sima Yi's is a different case entirely, he wasn't cut, hes part of a completely different kingdom now. As of DW7 hes no longer Wei, and is going to be Jin from now on. Labeling him as a Wei character is confusing. Yes he "WAS" part of the wei kingdom, but he isn't anymore. so what if he was in the past, in this current moment in time, the present, he isn't anymore. Chances are he will only ever be a Wei character again, only if they remove the Jin Kingdom, which i am very doubtful of ever happening.
A Cut character is different from a Moved Character.

And if i may add to what I've said so far. Sima Yi even has the character Template of a Jin Kingdom character now on his page. We cant have him labeled as a Wei character anymore because of that. and to reference the fact he was a Wei character before 7, we can mention this fact in the DW Series page and his character page.
"Up until Dynasty Warriors 7 Sima Yi was part of the Wei Kingdom, with the inclusion of the Jin Kingdom he is no longer considered a Wei character by KOEI standards."
Or something along those lines.

But what ever decision you may make, I will support. as you are the Mod of this wiki (or so that's the impression SakeNeko gave me)
Ixbran 06:02, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, i understand.

RE: Categorizing

Thank you for the kind tip, and the welcome back! :). It feels good to be back, it's been far too long. I will study up upon and follow the new criteria and formatting methods that are currently in place. Yes it has been quite a while, the wiki is almost unrecognizable from when I visited last, even the editing of pages is something I need to get reacquainted with. I do see, however, the wiki has been quite successful within Google page rankings, and community involvement. I recently acquired Dynasty Warriors 7, and Samurai Warriors 3 (not played yet, finishing up DW7), as well as the older KOEI games. I'll do what I can to assist by adding to those two, and other things on the to-do list that may have not yet been added, or need to be expanded on. Whopper user talk 01:50, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Major generals in infobox

Why are they even there to start with? Not only is their inclusion extremely opinionated, but by only placing five, it openly ignores other who are just as important. --WiseCrack 17:05, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

Although it was just changed by someone, the Shu one was obviously derived from the novel. Also, I don't mean to be a pest, but isn't this wiki based mostly on Koei games? I understand they are based on legend/history, but I would think this would want to be representative of the games more than anything. --WiseCrack 18:06, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Alright then. I'll keep that in mind. --WiseCrack 01:42, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Main Tweaks

Your main page wasn't setup in 2 columns, so it couldn't just push down the content. It had to be set this way, I also proposed to Whopper to do your news differently that way that huge blank space isn't there. - Wagnike2 21:14, October 13, 2011 (UTC)

the 3 guest characters in WO3

what are your thoughts on them?
*is curious*

Sorry if this seems kind of pointless, but im just curious.
Ixbran 04:57, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Joan and Achilles

I sent this message to Sake Neko, but feel i should also talk with you about it as well.

I was wondering, how are we going to do Joan of Arc's and Achilles' profiles for WO3? Will we be adding orochi info to the bottom of the Troy character profile info box? Also, will we be creating a Bladestorm Info Box for Joan of Arc, and then slowly build up the Bladestorm character profiles?

Sorry for bothering you, im just curious.
Ixbran 22:07, November 2, 2011 (UTC)

Well, when it comes to the Templates, since there are 3 factions in blade storm (French Army, English Army and Mercenaries) I think it would be best if we have 3 separate, yet matching, templates for them. sort of like DW and the template colors for the different kingdoms.
Since Edward and Joan are depicted as important figures of their respective armies (England and france) I think a red and black color scheme would work for English characters, to match Edwards armor. then a blue a white one for french to match Joans armor. Mercenaries could possibly have the same grey colors as the DW Other templates.
I my self having never played the game, so i dont know much else info to give to help. so i apologize.
Ixbran 22:49, November 2, 2011 (UTC)

Bladestorm Templates i made

I would you like to take a look at these and tell me if you think their up to KOEI Wiki standards. if they are i ask for some help making them official, since i did have to edit some of the coding and wont know how to make it so their official ones that can be re-distributed like normal templates.

Orochi/Orochi X

I have a question I've been meaning to ask you, regarding Orochi/X.

Some people online are saying that when/if Orochi returns in WO3/MO2, He will be Orochi, but might have Orochi X's move set and attack pattern. If that is the case and it dose happen, what will we do regarding the two individual character profiles?

I was thinking we could just fuse them together, and in the Lower section in the Fighting Style section, just put his two styles in separate sections.

there is no absolute proof this will happen, its just speculation. But I just wanted to run this by you and see your thoughts on that possibility.
Ixbran 03:51, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

i think you misunderstood what i said.
People theorize that when Orochi returns, he will be Normal Orochi in appearance, but have the Orochi X Moveset.
I know you guys like to describe heir fighting styles and move sets when it comes to characters, i just find my self wondering whats going to happen if this turns out to be the case.
Ixbran 04:02, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
Ahhh, i see then. Oki'day, i was just curious as to what would happen if that was the case. thanks for your time Kyosei.

Why isn't there a page for Musou? That is something major and should be needed. --Piccolohan19

More Sub-DLC Pages

I would like to make more Sub-pages for all the games with DLC. i feel it would be better if each game series, that has DLC, be given its own page. I say this because the main DLC page is getting rather large. and with KOEI having announced WO3 will have DLC[1], the page is only going to get bigger with the stuff that will be added.

I feel it would benefit the Wiki if we do this, for both WIKI users and contributors alike. I state this because i feel that if all the DLC is put on their own indevidual pages, people looking for that specific DLC wont have to brows through a page of DLC from multiple games to have to find what they are looking for. and it will also help those with older, slower computers with low loading time, by reducing the items needed for the page to load.

I my self will take responsibility and make the pages and move the DLC to the necessary sections, so you wont have to worry about it. I shall also be sending this to User:Sake neko so i can get multiple peoples input on this request.

Hello there Kyosei. I would like to appoloigze for what I've posted in Sekigahara. I thought that it was quite accurate, now I realized that I have made some mistakes. Now, I know I'm not an official expert on Japanese History, it's more of a hobby of mine. I like Japan and it's culture (though I've never been there before). Well, if you can tell me the kind of mistakes I've made with my post, I would appreciate it and I'll remember them for next time. Thank you.

Permission to add Zuo Ci to the WO character navigation template

I've been watching various WO3 videos and i've seen that the charactes from different games execute their musou's differently:

  • DW Chars: Camera zooms in, before panning out and attacking
  • SW Chars: Ink mark from SW flashes across screen with a close up of face.
  • WO Chars: an orante pattern flashes across the screen, with a close up of characters face like SW ink, and character is under a dome of glowing asian style markings, before executing.

Zuo Ci is seen executing his Musou in the same style as the WO characters. Also the character select screen, there are two other sections: Other 1 and Other 2.

Other 1 has the DW others, as well as a few Orochi characters; Da Ji, Nu Wa, Fu Xi. Zuo Ci is placed directly after Zhu Rong and before Da Ji. this puts him in a prime position as a character that could be of either, but because of his style of musou execution he has clearly become a WO character, like that of Nu Wa and Fu Xi.

Please, may i add Zuo Ci to the WO Template, as well as the WO series page? I promise I will make sure all looks well, and according to wiki standard.
Ixbran 07:43, December 23, 2011 (UTC)

But wouldn't this mean that he counts as a WO character, and not a DW Character anymore? i know your not fond of Nu Wa and Fu Xi being on both the DW and WO templates, but i feel this needs to be done. chances are Zuo Ci may stay a WO character, and not come back in a future DW Title. that could be the main reason why Zuo Ci didnt come back in DW7 or 7XL.
Ixbran 08:15, December 23, 2011 (UTC)

Proof that Zuo Ci is now a WO Character

Regarding my message before. while it is true before i had no real visual proof, i now do and wish to share it with you.

Within the game, Musou Orochi2/Warriors ORochi 3, they feature wallpapers you can set, just like in DW7 and 7XL. they have wallpapers that go for specific charcters, forces as well as special wallpapers for the characters from the different games.

As stated before, Zuo Ci has been set up with the characters in the WO Characters wallpaper, officially confirming he is no longer a dynasty warriors character, just like Fu Xi and Nu Wa.

Since it is official, i would like to move Zuo Ci to the WO Navigation Template.

And regarding the other cut characters, Goemon, Kojiro and Musashi, they are still considered SW Characters due to their inclusion in the SW Chara wallpaper.
Ixbran 00:10, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

?

Why did Kiyose remove Fu Xi and Nu Wa from the WO Template? This issue is about Zuo Ci, not them. They have been on the WO Template since the first game, removing them makes no sense what so ever.
Ixbran

Question: why is it the WO Template on the WO Character page has Fu Xi, Nu Wa and Zuo Ci on it, but on every other page they dont appear on it. did you make a separate WO Template for the main page? If so, thats a very creative idea. Interesting way to create an impasse on the subject manner. I like it.
Ixbran 01:11, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, and here i thought you created a reasonable way to resolve the problem, my mistake.
I could go on a rant stating that i feel your being unfair and controlling and no longer worthy of being a Mod, but hen that would be stupid and childish of me.
I neither understand, or agree, with what your trying to do. Nor do i even want to attempt too, to me your being closed minded about the entire situation.
But seeing as your an admin, someone with power i clearly do not have, I have no choice but to stand back and accept it.
Ixbran 01:23, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
First you people tell me that if i think something needs changing, i should go ahead and do it. and now your telling me that i need to wait for permission?
Wow, that doesn't send a mixed message at all.
"When there's a page you think needs making, next time just feel free to make it this time. There's no need to ask permission or to complain about it. It's great you had the initiative to go ahead and do what you thought was right. Keep it up! :) Sake neko 02:03, June 17, 2011 (UTC)"
I was just doing what I thought was right and would benefit the wiki best. your reasons for not wanting to include certain characters on other game templates confuse me to no end.
I mean, you wont allow Zuo Ci, Fu Xi and Nu Wa on the template because they originated on other KOEI Games. yet you don't have an issue with Joan of Arc, Achilles or Nemea being on the template.
I am so confused it makes my head hurt and eyes water. you allow certain characters from other games from other series on the template, yet remove others. Can you please explain that to me at least?
Ixbran 01:47, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
wqell if that's the case, then shouldn't you replace the character templates on Nema, Joans and Achilles profiles? remove their original game templates, like you did with the others (San Zang with the "Sayuki:Journey West" template, and Da Ji with the "Fengshen Yanyi" template) then?
and im sorry for the problems i caused, i was just trying to help ...
Can you please unlock the pages, i would like to be able to provide new information should it arise. having the blocks there kind of makes it so only you can edit them, and i know you cant keep track of all the new info 24/7.
also, if this is how were going to officially do it. you should remove Wukong and Zang from the DW template. they were put there due to their appearance in SF2
Ixbran 02:08, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
would it be too much to ask we at least keep the navigation templates on their pages? to help with navigating through character profiles? i think it would help. but if not thats fine.

thank you ... and again, sorry for being such a pest. was just trying to help, didnt intend to cause any trouble.

WO Expression Sheets

Someone has been ripping images of characters expression sheets for battle conversations, and I was wondering if i may have permission to upload them here onto the wiki. of course ill be asking the one for the images permission as well

I ask because i notice there are expression sheets for the Sayuki characters and Fengshen Yanyi characters, and thought you might want these as well.
Ixbran 03:03, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

Oh i understand, but if i was able to get permission from the one ripping the sheets from the game, may i have permission to upload them?

Wiki makeover

Hi Kyosei! I'm Mark, from Wikia's Community Development Team. First off, I'd like to compliment you and the community on the great work you've all been doing on the wiki! Keep up the amazing work! As a thank you for this amazing work, I'd like to offer my help by re-designing the main page and skin so it fits the subject of the wiki better. Note that I will only change the lay-out, and the content will stay the way it is right now, so no worries about that! What do you think? Leave me a message on my talk page! Cheers, Mark<staff /> (talk) 20:30, March 13, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Kyosei! Have you had the chance to consider my offer? Mark<staff /> (talk) 15:46, March 19, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, that's a shame to hear :(. I'd like to sincerely apologize for our team making any unwanted changes, and I'll inform the team about this so it won't happen again in the future. Mark<staff /> (talk) 20:42, March 19, 2012 (UTC)
Also, I'd like to add that if you ever change your mind and you would like our help, feel free to leave us a message at our Community Central page, and we'll get right on it! Naturally it's all up to you and the community, so we won't bother you again. Mark<staff /> (talk) 20:49, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

Lubu redirection page

Why was that page deleted? There was nothing wrong with it. I think it's very common for people to type in a character's name like that. Enemy officer defeated! 00:43, March 16, 2012 (UTC)

But, even so. It is still common for someone to just simply type in the name that way. Enemy officer defeated! 02:59, March 16, 2012 (UTC)
I mean I would assume someone would type it in that way without the spaces. Like, if someone types in DynastyWarriors without spaces in the search box. That should be a redirect. The same with Lubu. Enemy officer defeated! 11:35, March 16, 2012 (UTC)
I'll make note of that. Thank you. Enemy officer defeated! 03:19, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

Three Kingdoms related articles

I have a question would it seem alright to put in the biographies and pictures of officers who were important in the three kingdoms whether famous or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emperortikacuti (talkcontribs)

Moveset changes:

Why undo my changes from the movesets? Unless you want me to make DW3 and 4 movesets which would be repetitive. Also, you didn't undo my DW3 and 4 info changes to most of the Shu character movesets and that was added there by me a long time ago. What gives?

I'm sorry for sounding like I'm complaining but I think you should leave the pre-DW5 info alone, since making a DW3 and 4 moveset would be rather repetitive as said before. Also, it was actually nice of you to cut down some of the extra info on some of my edits though, like Xiahou Dun's True Musou. Belial Edge 03:22, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

A reminder: The DW3 and DW4 C5's function the same. No mean to brag, but I own DW3, 4 and 5 (barring expansions) so I know how most of the movesets work; DW3 was the very first game me and my sis played as a kid back then. Belial Edge 00:35, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • But...I don't own DW2 however. But I really want to say I know how the attacks work since I've played the games for a long time. Still, sorry for most of my crap. :P Belial Edge 00:55, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

Ma Teng

Umm dude, Ma Teng IS in Orochi 3 as a borderline generic. He served throughout most of the story alongside Ma Chao. Have you even played it yet?

WO3

SW3: XL is the most known game and keep the name tradition rather than Sengoku Musou 3 Z. Takamaru should mentionned, I don't understand why he shouldn't, it won't hurt and makes the whole more accurate. It is rather incompliant from you trying to find a trick to avoid mentioning him. Light-Revan 20:41, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

"here now we don't even need to mention Takamaru" - this sentence means to me -at first- "a trick to avoid mentioning him". Anyway, your reasoning have sense now, mention him was just for people who ask if he is in the game or not (as I saw in some forums and Youtube videos). Sad he wasn't for my part, like Koei, Nintendo knows how to create great characters, and Takamaru look like a samurai version of Link - a courageous young man with kindness and compassion wanting to make things right around him.
Well, nice evening comrade, and carry on with the good work. Light-Revan 21:16, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

Renders

Keeping only one render for a character is not written in the Koei wiki policy. Also, it is rather stupid to remove an image that doesn't exist anymore in the wiki after despite it is of good quality and useful. It's the first time I see that on a gaming wiki, I don't see the logic about it. Light-Revan 22:40, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

Can you explain me why you do that? I saw that you are the one that removed the render, that why I ask you for. Light-Revan 22:50, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

Your "we're not like every other gaming wiki" is a pretty bad justification. Emphasizing the written info over the visual don't justify why you remove every renders, especially when your historical information is already written on wikipedia or other wiki about history with a more deeply look about it, becoming something secondary here since everyone wanting to learn about history go generally on wikipedia.

So, if someone want to see all the images available for the characters in Koei games, he should not come here right? A wiki, especially for something visual like games should have at least all the good and interesting images in one of its objectives. People come here for many reasons, and some for see character images only. By analysing your reply, you have no consideration towards this type of person and you want to do what you want, is that correct? Whopper was agree about this? It was his real ambition about this wiki? Can I also ask you why you are the only one active admin right now? Light-Revan 23:46, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

"This is not really justification for anything. This is merely pointing out we are different and not the same as everyone else. Frankly I don't see the need to be like every other wiki either." - I agree but this sentence has no value, it was just for argument's sake. I already debated with other admins on other wiki, and when someone doesn't have a valable argument to tell, he said that. Both being different and used some interesting ideas of other wiki are good things, it is therefore superfluous to say such a thing.
For historical information, it's not like the historical information here are bad, and you prove to me yourself that this is the contrary, the problem is that someone searching for historical information will not go directly here, wikipedia has already a more dedicated format, reputation and policies for that.
"If the reader is not learning any new visual information, it is redundant and not necessary to repeat." - You miss something. It's not because you are a reader than everyone are too. Some people are not reader at all and are more interested about images, especially for their favorite characters, without taking into account the historical aspect.
"has not raised any issues with me about the wiki thus far and can only assume he has no problems with how it's being handled unless he says otherwise." - He just disappeared for more than six months, he will say anything for sure.
"I am the only active admin here because the rest of them quit for various personal reasons. You can read each of their individual farewell messages: here, here and here." - I already read the farewell messages of the inactive admins, and I will reply later about that and other things in my last paragraph.
"I became admin because I was trying to find one for the wiki, not because I was aiming to become one." - May be you don't want to be the only one who has the power here, but who to ask? Another active admin? Only you have the power here. Ixbran, who fears to be blocked if he is arguing with you? No one can talk for you. Your "sincerity" doesn't affect the reality of things, and I tend to not believe you when you say that "I personally wouldn't mind another dedicated admin but it's something that requires a willing individual, a cool head and a large investment of one's personal time among other things." despite someone with all the qualifications is already here since 2 years and 2 months! I talk about Sake neko. He is always here, he makes good contributions, he is here since a long time and has more than 32000 edits than you! He actually has more criteria for the admin position than you. Don't make me believe that you didn't see that, in addition to the wiki is pretty empty, and you and Sake neko are the most active contributors right now.
"True we don't cater to these people and honestly don't see the need to. What we want here are readers and editors to help fill in any missing info. Casual and cursory onlookers are not helpful in growing the community unless they contribute useful written information." - It's pretty funny to read this since the wiki is empty and the community doesn't exist at all. I think your thought and your method about that are wrong. Let me ask a question, why do you think everyone is going? I'll answer. The community doesn't exist at all because everyone is in his corner and that the only one active admin does nothing to change things. He has no consideration for casual and cursory onlookers who are the ones visiting the most the wiki. No one encourage each others, offers to play together or share something with someone else. Nobody is really friends here, everyone does his own work without worrying about the others, never offer help about a project or something. Nothing is done to attract people, the background, the portal template and the news format are obsolete and there are no plans to change them, no quizzes, no polls or discussion about improving the wiki, no translated interviews with the developers, the forum is like a graveyard. Everyone eventually lose motivation because he has nothing to win here after all. Light-Revan 14:43, April 27, 2012 (UTC)

First, I think you saw but I express myself rather roughly with sentences quite pragmatic, but it is not against you personally, this is my way, I hate beating around the bush.

I believe you about Sake neko, it's sad since Sake neko would gain in the end without losing anything. He would have a more appropriate statue while keeping doing what he does now.

I agree about Koei Warriors, but look for example The Vault about Fallout who have two wiki and many websites, but the community of both wiki is still very active. "Editing on wikis is basically working a job without pay" - It's true, but a wiki can be a community like Koei Warriors with an encyclopedic side, like the example I cited above.

Alright, here my suggestions:

  • First, creates at least a team of five admins to be able to organise, lead and manage people as cleanly as possible the wiki. You can search on Koei Warriors or fan sites, like you said, most of people there are more concerned about the historical info than other things, therefore, these people should are along similar lines than you. This is an important step, without it, it's impossible to do anything.
  • As an admin and having a leadership role, be more concerned with people, take the time to ask someone why he loves the Three Kingdoms, Koei games or Samurai Warriors, and why he comes here to contribute. Encourage them when they do something hard or boring. People will be touched by this gesture and they will be even more involved and more concerned with the community.
  • Take consideration for casual and cursory onlookers, they can become great contributors or someone important later.
  • Make project or suggestions about improving the wiki, and let people give their opinions. What background people want, how the news should be put etc.
  • Later, if the community becomes larger, make quizzes and polls, it is something nice that some will take the time to come regularly to give their views.
  • Make a new main page format, the one right now is a bit obsolete. Take example on Dragon Age or Deus Ex wiki for example, the main page is pretty good.
  • For the forum no solution, only people can do something.
  • Find some Japanese translators for interviews, that will help Sake neko and make the work advance more rapidly. Koei Warriors or fan sites should be a good place to find some of them.

That's all my suggestions, feel free to follow them, I reactivated several wiki communities thanks to them. It sounds long but once established, everything will work like clockwork.

On another subject, the information about Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends is a bit non-existent here, like all English sites, even in Koei Warriors. I found a Japanese wiki with lots of information about the game, the 5th weapons, new items etc. it would be nice if Sake neko can take the time to translate and adapt the information here.

[2] - Main Page.
[3] - Weapons, including the 4th and 5th.
[4] - Items.
Light-Revan 14:47, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

After reading your reply, you don't seem really motivated to change things here.
Wiki codes are very simple to learn (incomparable to C++ or Python), and even a 10 years old kid will be able to understand it in one day. This is not a barrier. And you can help about that, you are an admin.
Since the main page is obsolete, it's pretty hard to see them (like project or suggestions about improving the wiki). Did you look at my examples mentionned above? [5] and [6]? What do you think about them? Light-Revan 22:54, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

TRINITY: Souls of Zill O'll Characters

I think that, as well Nemena, we must write the other characters pages, because right now this encyclopedia is incomplete! What do you think? Linstella 13:03, April 28, 2012 (UTC)

Behavior

"other wikis too that you've edited on" - You talk about what wiki? Only the Mass Effect wiki warned me for nothing about a message with a vandal, the others were OK with me actually, especially with the hard work I have done there, and I was an admin in 3 wiki before.

I'm going anyway, I don't have time to waste here as anything can be done, no strictly written policies and obsolete format for everything, and with you following Sake and vice versa, as stupid sheeps protecting themselves mutually. Stay in your crap wiki that everyone don't cares, I better understand now why nobody comes here. Your pathetic excuse about that Koei games are not popular in Western countries is a false idea to hide the truth. Even the unknown Traveller [7] and Sryth [8] have more pages and contributions than here dimwit.

Also, an image and a render are not the same thing, when you don't know the topic, don't talk about it. Image is the whole thing, render is a 3D model images with empty background. When you talk about render, you talk about this, like everyone know, not the images in the large sense, it's a common knowledge.

Good bye, stay in your graveyard gravediggers, and it's unnecessary to reply, I will never come back into a place that smells like death. Light-Revan 12:58, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

DW3 Wind Scroll Image Deletion

Excuse me, but could you kindly delete the Wind Scroll image I just uploaded to this wiki? I didn't realize there was already another image for the Wind Scroll until I saw the page of that particular item. Thank you very much for hearing me out. Humble Novice 07:16, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

Power Icon Won't Change

Sorry to bother you with this trifling matter, but the icon I just replaced for the power-type category from Warriors Orochi doesn't seem to show up. Instead, it remains the same. I keep on trying to renew it, but it still keeps on reverting back to its previous image. How long will it take for it to show up correctly? Humble Novice 02:34, May 10, 2012 (UTC)

Well, I decided to just upload the new image to the photo gallery instead since the cache of the previous one hasn't been updated within the last 14 hours. Would you kindly delete the old image of the power category? Humble Novice 17:03, May 10, 2012 (UTC)

Related videos module coming soon

Hi, Over the past couple of months we have been developing and testing a related videos module on some wikis like Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Halo. During these tests we have been tracking the number of video plays as well as collecting community feedback. We are now ready to expand the rollout to the rest of the site, and we are starting with wikis that there are the most videos for - which includes your wiki!

The videos we have are fully licensed from video partners we have developed relationships with. They include videos such as trailers, famous movie/TV clips, walkthroughs and behind the scenes interviews. We currently have video content from Screenplay and are working to create partnerships with other vendors, including Hulu, soon. You can see the video content we have by visiting the video wiki and either searching by keyword or checking out the various categories.

When the module is enabled, it will already be pre-populated with videos related to your topic. We will try to pick the best videos from the video wiki, but understand that the community’s ability to adjust the content is very important, so you will have access to both adding and removing videos within the module. This can include adding videos already on your wiki or adding new ones from the video wiki.

Our high-quality videos will compliment the fantastic articles and photos on your wiki. On 5 of the test wikis the videos in the modules have already had over 10,000 views. This is an exciting number and we hope as we make more videos available these numbers will increase. We are in the process of pre-populating the related videos module for your wiki, and expect the module to go live within the next couple of weeks, so please let me if you have any any questions or concerns. Sarah<staff /> (help forum | blog) 18:15, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Listen, KOEI recently announced that Seimei Abe is going to be a new Warriors Orochi origonal character for the upcoming Musou Orochi2: Special for the PSP. I went to prep his page up as an Orochi character, template and everything, but Sake Neko keeps undoing the pages stating he personally sees him as a guest character and not an origonal. Please speak with Sake Neko about how we need to fallow the necessary protocol with this.

Problem With Trophy Template

The trophy template doesn't seem to work well with images. I thought I already fixed that problem by having it follow the format used in other articles. Why revert it back all of a sudden? Humble Novice 06:50, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

Images

You didn't needed to put it like that. I thought it does that automatically. That is why I decided to leave it alone. I did read the policy, but that was a bit harsh way of putting it.

I'll try to remember your harsh words next time.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms Image Question

I notice that you and Sake Neko always update the character portraits from this series while removing the older ones from their respective pages. Is there a reason behind this? Or do you have a different policy in regards to images from this particular game? I'm just asking because many portraits from the previous installments still remain undeleted in the wiki image gallery. Humble Novice 07:42, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
