Takahiro Sakurai is a freelance Japanese voice actor, narrator, and radio personality. Being the eldest of three brothers, his family runs a rice shop.
During his youth, Sakurai became intrigued in the dubbing industry after watching an interview program featuring a prominent voice actor. After finishing secondary education, he enrolled in voice acting lessons while doing radio dramas on the side, allowing him to gain much-needed experience for his career.
There came a time when he struggled to find his big break within the field. Although Sakurai thought about quitting, he changed his mind once he started getting more regular roles. He is friends with Kenichi Suzumura and Jun Fukuyama. His favorite food is sushi.
Sakurai's roles primarily consist of attractive male characters who are either charismatic or acerbic in terms of personality. His roles include Blue Knight in Accel World, Jonathan Morris in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and Jasper in Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
