Jun Fukuyama is a Japanese voice actor and singer. He is currently the co-founder of his own agency called BLACK SHIP.
In his younger years, Fukuyama decided to become a voice actor after learning a girl he admired wanted to take up that vocation herself. He made his official debut in 1996. His role as Lelouch Lamperouge/Vi Britannia in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion greatly boosted his popularity among fans and even earned him the award for best actor during the 1st Seiyu Awards.
He began a singing career in 2017 and is part of DABA, a unit comprised of voice actors born in 1978. This group also includes his close friend and business partner Shinnosuke Tachibana.
Fukuyama's tenor pitch initially limited him to young male characters during the early part of his career, though his aforementioned performance in Code Geass proved he could skillfully play against type. Nowadays, he is given plenty of opportunities to voice more mature roles. Some of the characters he has voiced include Mizuiro Kojima (then later) Yumichika Ayasegawa both from Bleach, Yūta Togashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, and Asahi Saiba in Shokugeki no Soma.
