Kanae Ito is a Japanese voice actor and radio personality. Right after high school, she joined two different voice acting groups. In 2009, her singing career took off under the music label Lantis.
Ito eventually landed the lead role of Amu Hinamori in Shugo Chara!, impressing critics with her performance. She has the distinction of winning best rookie at the 4th Seiyu Awards and best supporting actress at the 5th event. She is also good friends with Aki Toyosaki.
Despite her vocal versatility, Ito is revered more by fans for her tsundere roles. She is credited for voicing as Ruiko Saten in A Certain Scientific Railgun, Kanonno Earhart in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2, and the Amethyst twins in Land of the Lustrous.
