Bob Papenbrook was an American voice actor and martial arts instructor based in Los Angeles, California. After succumbing to chronic lung problems, Papenbrook passed away in Van Nuys. He was survived by his wife Debbie Rothstein and their son Bryce Papenbrook.
Hired by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas to voice the screaming natives in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Papenbrook found a successful niche in doing voice overs for various live-action and anime shows.
Papenbrook was mostly known for lending his voice to gruff older characters. A few of his roles included Lafarga in Magic Knight Rayearth, Katsuhito Masaki in the Tenchi Muyo! series, and Varin Omega in Digital Devil Saga.
