Art of War (孫子兵法, Chinese: Sūnzǐ Bīngfǎ; onyomi: Sonshi Heihō; lit. "Sunzi's Art of War") is a historical document authored by Sunzi (read as Sun Tzu in Wade Giles). It is one of the seven military classics of ancient China and one of the most translated within the seven texts.
The scroll appears in the Dynasty Warriors series as an unlockable item. When it is equipped, it can double the length of time for temporary stat boosting battlefield items (this it can synergize with the Survival Guide). Depending on the game, it adds an extra fifteen seconds to the usual time limit (such as in Warriors Orochi 3).
Dynasty Warriors: Online renames it as "Time Scroll" that adds an extra five seconds to temporary buffs. The upgraded version, "Eternal Scroll", adds ten seconds.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins instead has it increase the user's attack stat by 30% upon triggering a Dramatic Success with any of their possible tactics.
How to Unlock
- Dynasty Warriors 3 - While playing as Wei at the Siege of He Fei Castle, defeat every general except Sun Quan.
- Dynasty Warriors 4 - In the Campaign against Sun Jian as Dong Zhuo's forces, kill Lu Meng, Zhou Tai, Sun Shang Xiang and Gan Ning.
- Dynasty Warriors 5 - During Chi Bi as a part of Cao Cao's forces, kill Zhuge Liang as he retreats.
- Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends - Ou Xing's Rebellion Legend Mode - get 300 KOs in five minutes.
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Raise the peace level in Yang Province to level 2, then collect the reward at the waymark.
