Akemi Kanda is a freelance Japanese voice actress. Kanda's known family is at least one older sister. As of 2012, Kanda has announced her marriage to a regular company worker on her X profile. Some of her hobbies include modern and Japanese dancing, watching Chibi Maruko-chan, doting on her pet cat, Rio, and raising a vegetable garden at her home.
Kanda admires the works of the late Hideko Takamine and Yoshie Taira, citing them to be inspirational to her own performances. She has been known to voice various types of female characters and younger boy roles, a few of her roles being Noelle in Dragalia Lost, Nene in The Ambition of Oda Nobuna, and Ceylan Jones in the Japanese dub for Tenkai Knights.
