Douglas Rye (born November 6, 1950 in Westchester, New York) is an American voice actor and narrator based in Los Angeles. He attended Lawrenceville School and New York University in order to build up his acting skills. Eventually, he decided to involve himself in numerous musical acts working as a crew member, stage hand, or even a performer. Some of the bands he worked for include "The Rolling Stones", "Pink Floyd", and "The Commodores". He left the music scene at some point and managed to land various acting roles before finding his niche in voice acting. He is sometimes credited as Doug Rye.
Rye is mostly known for voicing smooth-talking characters with deep vocal tones. Among his roles are Mr. Gentleman from Read or Die, Silver Knight from the .hack series, and Dracula from several Castlevania titles.
