Yoshimitsu Shimoyama

Yoshimitsu Shimoyama is a freelance Japanese voice actor. He married fellow voice actor Satomi Arai in 2008 and had a son with her two years later, though it took him until 2016 to publicly announce his marital status.

Shimoyama became aware of voice acting as a vocation after watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes for the first time in high school. After officially joining the industry in 1997, he became a novel narrator of the work that inspired him as well as several other titles penned by the original author Yoshiki Tanaka.

Throughout Shimoyama's voice acting career, he has taken on a variety of different roles due to his versatile pitch. A few of the characters voiced by him include Mukkuru in Utawarerumono, Lulubhu in Toriko, and Halfdan in Vinland Saga.
