The Xiongnu, sometimes called the Xianbei tribe, are a tribal folk of Mongolic and Turkic descendants from the Mongolian Steppes in Northern China. They were enemies of the Han and their forces were split during the fight against Emperor Wu, long before the Yellow Turban uprising.
