Talk:Wang Yi

Discussion page of Wang Yi

Early translation note

Perhaps this is me reading too much into it, but there may be a change in her character identity once more information is known about her. In the original Japanese description it states that she is the daughter of "Wang Shi" (王氏). "Shi" can be used to note family or a clan like the Date clan. So I put on the page that she is the daughter of the Wang family, which is true for Wang Yi.

However, for Chinese maidens, it could also be used to distinguish them as a figure born from that particular family like it says on her article "Lady Wang". Meaning that it's possible that the DW Wang Yi could actually be Wang Yi's daughter, Zhao Ying. She could be just using the name "Wang Yi" as a title of sorts. They're doing a Lian Shi thing with her character anyways in which she is different than her historical counterpart, so it's hard for me to tell right away if it is her or not.

Again, it's still too early to tell what exactly Omega Force meant by that statement so I'm holding off changing the article right away. I'm just saying that there's a very slight possibility that her DW character might be someone different. Sake neko 04:05, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Trivia Note

Is it worth noting somewhere that she is the only female Wei officer to not wield a musical instrument related weapon? Kamikaze839 20:15, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

No. By that note you could've said that for Zhenji back in DW6 if you want to get technical. Also given that you can change what weapon any of these characters can wield, this isn't really that relevant to mention. Kyosei (talk) 22:44, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
