Shizuka Itō is a Japanese voice actor. Having been in the industry since 2003, she won Best Supporting Actress during the 10th Seiyu Awards. She announced her marriage on 2012.
While working part-time in a game store, Itō became fascinated with anime and by extension the various voice actors and personalities who worked on them. Upon graduating from Tokyo Announce Academy, she formed a voice acting unit with Hitomi Nabatame; the pair became known as Hitoshizuku (ひとしずく) which cleverly means "Single Droplet".
She is also a wrestling enthusiast, being a fan of the productions made by Pro Wrestling Noah.
Itō is known for voicing characters who exude a sensual or elderly sister vibe. Given her love for works related to mecha, she has appeared in numerous titles associated with the genre. A few of her roles are Himawari Kunogi in xxxHolic, Sailor Venus in Sailor Moon Crystal, and Shiori Tsuzuki in Witchblade.
