Saizō Kirigakure

Saizō Kirigakure (霧隠才蔵, Kirigakure Saizō) was a legendary ninja and fictional character of the final phase of the Japan's Sengoku period.

Role in Games

He first appeared in Nobunaga no Yabou Tendou and collaboration with Nobunaga no Yabou Online in event Sanada-Maru. In addition, he also appeared in 100man-nin no Nobunaga no Yabou.

In Fiction

He is a ninja of Iga region and usually appears as a calm, elegant, mature, handsome and sometimes feminine young man. In according to the historian Stephen Turnbull and non-fiction writer Joel Levy that Saizō was commanded by Tokugawa Ieyasu to assassinate Hashiba Hideyoshi but failure. In according to Donn F. Draeger that Saizō was captured while only spying on Hideyoshi but Hideyoshi spared his life. For this reason, he decide joined Toyotomi. He was described as both an enemy and a good friend of Sasuke. Later, he became one of the Sanada Ten Braves and joined battle at Ōsaka.
