Mei Sanniang (美三娘, Bisanjō) is an original character introduced in Kessen II. She acts as the guide for game's tutorial demos, which only occurs in Shu's story. At different times of the game, she serves as a political adviser. She is an original interpretation of Liu Bei's second historical wife, Lady Mi, and Hu Sanniang, a character from the novel Water Margin.
She is voiced by Mami Koyama in the Japanese version and Lara Cody in the English version. Her height for the game is 175 cm (5'9").
Role in the Game
She is an old friend of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei. She is usually seen by Liu Bei's side and, like him, cares little for the Han Dynasty. When Diao Chan was separated from Liu Bei, Mei Sanniang used a magical orb to allow the lovers to communicate with one another. However, due to a magical force field cast by Wei's sorceress, she can only maintain the link between them for a short time. Later in the story, Zhang Fei reveals that she is infatuated with Liu Bei. She considers him her first love even though she knows he is devoted to Diao Chan.
Her breasts —rather the men gazing at them— are used for comic relief at various parts in the game. She apparently wears the low cut top to draw Liu Bei's attention.

Fighting Style
When she is a detached unit from Liu Bei, she leads a cavalry unit into battle. She normally fights with a sword but is known to also use two stylized daggers. Somewhat reckless in nature, she will usually accept duels from other officers, even at times when her army morale is failing. Along with Sun Li, she is one of the two characters in the game who can initiate a rare duel sequence with Cai Wenji. She can also use magic but her proficiency is not as high as other magician characters.
