Matthew Mercer is an American voice actor based in Los Angeles, California. He is married to fellow voice actor Marisha Ray.
During his high school years, Mercer started out doing background voices and minor roles for various anime titles before working his way to other forms of media like radio commercials and video games. Aside from voice acting, Mercer helps produce live-action web shows, being the director of There Will Be Brawl and the dungeon master of Critical Role.
Mercer typically voices serious characters using his deep baritone pitch, though he is versatile enough to play against type. His vocal similarity to Troy Baker resulted in him taking over most of the latter's non-union roles. He has provided his voice to Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 6 and its movie spin offs, Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, and Kilrogg Deadeye in World of Warcraft.
