Gameplay

The overall gameplay remains the same as its spiritual predecessor with the following changes:

  • The protagonist can be customized to represent London, America, or Japan. Female option and three different portraits are available. Their starting place and scenario can be set to determine each band's limits. A starting band is automatically assigned based on the player avatar's focal music genre (rock, pop, jazz, and world).
  • Before a band can perform, they are expected to have compositions made in advance. The player can hire a composer based on their income. These music compositions are meant to replicate songs from famous bands such as The Doors, Beatles, ect.
  • Tempo, length, and composition can be determined by the player prior to playing on stage. Part-time jobs, studio practice, and mixing have been omitted to stress the importance of live gigs.
  • Performance ratings for the original starting compositions follows the same traits as the previous title. Advanced compositions judge the player based on how well they can replicate the original song with their mouse.
  • Global tours can be conducted once the band increases its fame and profit in their hometown.
  • Visuals are in full color with updated graphics and a new world map.
