Kikuko Inoue is a Japanese voice actor and founder of the agency Office Anemone. She is married and has a daughter named Honoka who works in the same business as her.
Originally a literature major, Inoue wanted to become a teacher only to find it too frustrating to her liking. While looking for another line of work, she watched a rerun of Attack No. 1 which inspired her to take up voice acting as a career.
One of Inoue's renowned quirks is proclaiming herself to be perpetually 17 years old; though she deliberately chose that age number for aesthetic reasons, it's become something of a running gag in both anime and live events involving her. She is close friends with fellow voice actor Atsuko Tanaka.
Inoue is famous for portraying gentle or motherly characters. However, she is surprisingly capable of playing against type through more aggressive or sexual roles. Some of her roles include Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess!, Lobelia Carlini in Sakura Wars 3: Is Paris Burning?, and Marie Belmont in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
