Kensho Ono

From Koei Tecmo Wiki

Kensho Ono is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer. He made his singing debut in 2014 under Lantis. He is married to fellow voice actor Kana Hanazawa.

In his youth, Ono was motivated to take up acting after becoming a fan of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. With his mother's permission, he auditioned for the role of Young Simba in the Shiki Theatre Company's production of the Lion King and passed. Despite spending 10 months to practice his lines, he struggled to perform during his debut. Disheartened by his poor performance, he almost gave up until his mother encouraged him to try again. He eventually succeeded and later rose to fame by becoming the dub voice for Harry Potter.

Ono tries to strike a balance between his stage acting and voice-over activities, having considered both experiences as equally valuable to him. He has expressed an interest in taking on more acting challenges in the future. In May 5, 2015, he became a tourism ambassador for his father's hometown in Iyo City.

When it comes to voice acting, Ono generally lends his voice to calm and youthful male characters. Even after having vocal polyps surgery, the change in his voice is hardly noticeable due to his extensive acting skills. His most recent roles are Tomohiro Nagatsuka in A Silent Voice, Knight Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom, and Hathaway Noa in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway.
