Human opponents are usually the more simpler type of foes to face head on, though some may be led by stronger figures in later battles.
Enemies in Fate/Samurai Remnant are minor foes fought by the player in battle. Defeating them earns both experience and items used for a variety of purposes. Once confronted, an encounter will not end until all enemies have been defeated. Some stages contain multiple battles that leave players little room for catching their breath.

Whenever the screen flashes purple momentarily, it usually denotes the presence of monsters. When up against strong monsters, the player must empty their shell gauge before they can be properly damaged.
