Fighting Style

Keys: Square Normal Attack • Triangle Charge Attack Circle Musou X Jump/Mount
Main Attacks
Charge Attack 1: Triangle: Breaks the enemy's guard with a half-circular swing to the right.
Charge Attack 2: Square Triangle: Lifts foes to the air via hopping uppercut swing.
Charge Attack 3: Square Square Triangle: Dazes nearby enemies with a two-handed sword swipe to the right.
Charge Attack 4: Square Square Square Triangle: Turns around and performs a rear thrust. Sends foes in front of Dong Zhuo flying away. Inflicts death elemental damage if Dong Zhuo is equipped with his fifth weapon in Xtreme Legends.
Charge Attack 5: Square Square Square Square Triangle: Launches enemies high up into the air with an ascending slash, then follows it up with a downward slice towards the right provided that the player taps Triangle again upon successfully connecting the attack's first hit. Inflicts lightning elemental damage if Dong Zhuo is equipped with his fourth weapon.
Charge Attack 6: Square Square Square Square Square Triangle: Uses sword to send out a mobile shockwave traveling on the ground in a straight line.
Normal Attack 1: Square Square Square Square: Lands a swipe to the upper right, a leftward slash, a rightward swing, and an upper left strike.
Normal Attack 2: Square Square Square Square Square: Similar to the first normal attack string, but adds a round slash directed towards the right.

Musou Attack: Circle: Delivers multiple round slashes done back and forth while moving at a steady pace, then finishes it up with a quake-producing body slam on the ground.
True Musou Attack: Low Health + Circle: Similar to the normal Musou animation, but includes several slashing motions done differently before enacting the body slam attack.
Auxiliary Attacks
Dash Attack: Dashing + Square: Does a wide swing to the left while pausing momentarily.
Jump Attack: X Square: Lands a downward swipe slanted towards the left while leaping.
Power Guard: L1 + Square: Pushes an attacking enemy back to create some distance from them.

Horse Charge Attack: Triangle: Unleashes powerful slashes to the right and left while mounted. Can be performed while in the middle of doing the normal horse attack string.
Horse Normal Attack: Square Square Square Square Square Square: Delivers several side swings to the right and left repeatedly.
Horse Musou Attack: Circle: Rides horse while unleashing numerous arcing slashes to both sides in alternating order.
Bow Attacks

Fighting Style

Dong Zhuo fights elegantly akin to most ruler-sword users, much like a fencer, but takes advantage of his tremendous bulk in his Musou attack. While he has good raw strength, his mobility is often lacking. Some of his attacks lack decent coverage, making him difficult to use in crowds but more effective in one-on-one confrontations.

Main Attacks
Charge Attack 1: Triangle: Grabs a nearby opponent and knocks them away with an upward circular swipe. Attack is unblockable, though it cannot inflict elemental damage.
Charge Attack 2: Square Triangle: Lifts foes to the air via hopping uppercut swing.
Charge Attack 3: Square Square Triangle: Delivers a series of quick criss-crossing slashes from right to left repeatedly. The combo ends with two frontal swipes done back and forth, leaving foes dazed for a brief period of time. Tap Triangle repeatedly for additional hits.
Charge Attack 4: Square Square Square Triangle: Turns around and performs a rear thrust. Sends foes in front of Dong Zhuo flying away.

Announcement: R3: Laughs at foes while releasing wisps of light. Can break through the enemy's guard and stagger them for a short moment. Aura may change color in Free Mode to match the user's chosen side.

Dong Zhuo is a unique NPC who fights with his own moveset in this title.

Normal Attack: B B B: Delivers two wide swings and a body slam. Can also inflict poison on targets, causing them to lose health periodically.

Samurai Warriors: State of War

Dong Zhuo gains an additional skill in this title.

Sub-Officer Skill - Rampage: Increases allied attack power while sacrificing defense during the battle strategy phase.
Charge Attack 1: Dazes foes with a quick punch forward.
Musou Attack: Circle: The animations are the same as in Dynasty Warriors 4, though it cannot be stopped until the player's Musou gauge is fully depleted. Similar to the Musou attacks employed by the Samurai Warriors cast, a shockwave burst is added at the end of the finisher.
Roll: R: Rolls on the ground to evade enemy attacks.

Fighting Style

When controlled by the AI in Empires, Dong Zhuo's charge attacks will be imbued with the lightning element by default.

Base Game

Main Attacks
Charge Attack 1: Triangle: Does a quick stomp while gesturing at foes menacingly. Neaby foes are quickly knocked over, allowing Dong Zhuo to either escape or prepare another charge attack. Cannot activate elemental effects provided by orbs.
Charge Attack 2: Square Triangle: Lifts foes to the air via hopping uppercut swing. Cannot activate elemental effects provided by orbs.
Charge Attack 3: Square Square Triangle: Delivers a series of quick criss-crossing slashes from right to left repeatedly. The combo ends with two frontal swipes done back and forth, leaving foes dazed for a brief period of time.
Charge Attack 4: Square Square Square Triangle: Turns around and performs a rear thrust. Sends foes in front of Dong Zhuo flying away.

True Musou Attack: Low Health + Circle: Similar to the normal Musou animation, but replaces the default finisher with a bomb thrown at enemies while rolling back for safety. Unlike Huang Gai's bombs, the one used for this attack can kill enemies.
Auxiliary Attacks
Dash Attack: Dashing + Square: Does a wide swing to the left while pausing momentarily.
Jump Attack: X Square: Lands a downward swipe slanted towards the left while leaping.
Jump Charge: X Triangle: Flips in mid-air and violently stomps the ground upon landing, causing nearby foes to stagger. Tap Triangle to stomp continuously to the point of knocking enemies down.
Parry: L1 + Triangle: Instantly launches a quick rightward swipe to counter incoming blows.

Obstacle Effects
Obstacle Effect 1 - Steal Coins: Steals any amount of coins the opponent has.
Obstacle Effect 2 - Drain Musou: Depletes the opponent's Musou and adds it to the player's own. Only available to rare card version.
Main Attacks
Normal Attack: Swings sword down to command Juggernaut into spewing red flames for a brief moment. Hits the player repeatedly while knocking them down.
Strong Attack: Causes Juggernaut to spin around rapidly as it breathes fire continuously. Players struck by this attack will be knocked away at a great distance.

Warriors Orochi

Modified Attacks
Charge Attack 1: Triangle: The bursting stomp effect has less range than it did in the base game, though it now inflicts elemental damage. The sequel removes that trait entirely, but it can be replicated by wielding a weapon with the Almighty skill.
Charge Attack 6: Square Square Square Square Square Triangle: Functions similarly to its base game incarnation, but can no longer inflict elemental damage. This is rectified in the sequel.
New Attacks
Special Attack: R1: Dong Zhuo reaches a nearby foe, spins them up in the air, and tosses them down hard. Cannot be guarded against. Consumes 60 Musou points.
Hyper Armor: Prevents enemies from interrupting combos with normal attacks.
Team Abilities
Ability 1 - Vitality: Increases the team's life.
Ability 2 - Power: Increases attack of Power-type characters.
Ability 3 - Recuperate: Increases Musou recovery rate of inactive characters.

Warriors Orochi 2

Team Attacks
Assist Attack: Counter + L1 + Square or Triangle: Dong Zhuo performs his True Musou finisher to assist a teammate. Consumes a portion of Musou.
Triple Attack 1: Low Health + L2 + R2 + Circle: Surrounds the area with fierce winds by striking the ground.
Triple Attack 2: Low Health + L2 + R2 + Circle: Produces a column of air to fill the vicinity around Dong Zhuo.
Triple Attack 3: Low Health + L2 + R2 + Circle: Performs a body slam that causes gales to come rising from above.
Triple Attack Finisher: Dong Zhuo unleashes a flurry of quick slashes accompanied by a rendition of his fifth charge motion, then finishes his part of the combo with a swing to the upper right. As the whole team finishes up, a bright pillar of light generates at the intersection of their attack range and engulfs the surrounding area. Enemies caught by the blast sustain massive damage while being flung to the air and set on fire.
Strategy - Face Off: Reduces overall damage inflicted upon all allied forces.

Fighting Style

When controlled by the AI in Dynasty Warriors 5, most of Dong Zhuo's charge attacks will be imbued with the light element by default.

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the mace in this title. Despite sharing the same moveset with other characters, some of his attacks have different traits or effects.

Standard Attacks
Triangle Renbu String 1: Delivers two powerful slams on the ground with each hit leaving behind tremors.
Triangle Renbu String 2: Similar to the first Triangle Renbu string, but adds a wider tremor for extra coverage.
Triangle Renbu String 3: Similar to the second Triangle Renbu string, but adds another tremor that is larger in size than the last one.
Triangle Renbu String Infinite: Similar to the third Triangle Renbu string, but produces a tremor so large and powerful that Dong Zhuo is lifted off his feet while performing it.
Jump Charge: X Triangle: Drops down to smash the earth, creating a quaking tremor in the process.
Special Attacks
Musou Attack: Circle: Does an empowered version of the first to third Square Renbu string repeatedly. The assault ends with a continuous spin attack while holding mace behind neck and batting enemies away.
True Musou Attack: Low Health + Circle: Similar to the regular Musou attack, but adds the fire attribute to each hit.
Special Move - Swift Attack: L2: Maximizes the user's Renbu gauge to infinite temporarily and prevents them from being flinched by enemy attacks. Also increases damage output if activated with low health.
Officer Skills
Adrenaline: Doubles attack power for 30 seconds when knocked down and near death.
Ice Resist: Nullifies ice elemental attacks.
Recovery: Improves the effect of recovery items.
Spirit: Increases the amount of Musou gained.
Horsemanship: Increases overall abilities of current horse.
Bonus Special: Receives one tome for defeating 300 enemies each time.
Pouch: Allows character to carry up to 2 tomes while making them appear more frequently.
Bag: Allows character to carry up to 3 tomes while making them appear much more frequently.
Tome Skills
Hinder: Reduces speed of nearby enemies upon activating special move.
Battlecry: Stuns nearby enemies upon activating special move.
Destroy: Increases damage inflicted to objects by Swift Attack.
Pulverize: Greatly increases damage inflicted to objects by Swift Attack.

Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires

Dong Zhuo gains additional abilities and traits in this title.

Special Move - True Speed: Allows the user to continuously perform running attacks while receiving a slight boost in attack power and hit speed. Also increases speed of horse if activated while riding. Dong Zhuo holds his club in a protective stance as he runs at high speed.
True Speed Attack: True Speed + Square: Does a rapid roll attack twice.
True Speed Charge: True Speed + Triangle: Slams club horizontally on the ground, producing a powerful tremor.
Officer Card - Tyranny (暴政): Increases gold received while decreasing resources obtained by 1 at the start of the month. Effective for 3 months.

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the cudgel (type 1) in this title.

Skills
Fury Awakening Aura: Releases swirls of purple-colored energy as Dong Zhuo changes appearance due to the fury transformation process. Can be imbued with additional effects via certain chi skills.
Type Skill - Readiness: Enables charge attacks to charge up much faster. Only available in Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce.
Support Skill - Health Recovery: Restores an ally's health by a moderate amount. Only available in Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid 2.
Team Ability - Achievement Boost: Increases the number of achievement medals earned when slaying enemies. Only available in Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid 2.

Fighting Style

Out of all the mace users in the game, Dong Zhuo has the least amount of advantages. Despite sharing similar hit effects with Xu Zhu, he lacks the latter's roll extension, Wei Yan's charge coverage, and Huang Gai's inherent fire element. However, his massive size does provide him with some advantage in reaching foes.

When controlled by the AI in Strikeforce, Dong Zhuo's attacks will be imbued with the earth element by default.

Base Game

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the flail in this title. When equipped with it, Dong Zhuo can perform the following unique attacks listed below.

EX Attack: Triangle Triangle: Trips opponent, then lands on their back as they fall. Upon subduing the victim, Dong Zhuo grabs their chin from behind and snaps their neck with a camel clutch while laughing.
Musou Attack - Mad Bomber (大爆殺; lit. "Great Bombing Slaughter"): Circle: Bombards foes with multiple bombs thrown in an arc, then laughs briefly afterwards. The attack's trajectory can be maneuvered via directional input.
Aerial Musou Attack - Black Hole (壊滅暗黒球; lit. "Catastrophic Dark Black Sphere"): X Circle: Throws a large ball of evil spirits down on the ground, producing an explosion that burns foes below while sending them airborne.
Notable Skills

Titles
Lieutenant General (偏将軍) - Slightly increases Legend Mode rewards.
Field General (安国将軍) - Marginally increases damage inflicted on enemies when using power-type weapons.
River General (横江将軍) - Marginally increases attack and defense against officers when using speed-type weapons.
Campaign General (討逆将軍) - Marginally absorbs health from enemies when damaging them using speed-type weapons.
Front General (前将軍) - Moderately increases defense against projectile and shockwave attacks when using power-type weapons.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the bombs in this title. When equipped with it, Dong Zhuo can perform the following unique attacks listed below.

EX Attack: Triangle Triangle: Charges energy in hand before running forward to grab the closest enemy. Upon connecting successfully, Dong Zhuo proceeds to slam his victim to the ground and causes the energy from his hand to disperse, triggering an explosive effect upon impact.
Musou Attack - Mad Bomber (大爆殺; lit. "Great Bombing Slaughter"): Circle: Serves the same function like in the base game.
Aerial Musou Attack - Black Hole (壊滅暗黒球; lit. "Catastrophic Dark Black Sphere"): X Circle: Serves the same function like in the base game.

  • Subordinate Special Command - Betray: Colludes with another kingdom to turn against own side. Increases evil fame by 5,000 when used.

Unique Attacks
EX Attack: Triangle Triangle: Serves the same function like in the base game.
Musou Attack: Circle: Dong Zhuo performs Mad Bomber as their main Musou attack with the game classifying it as a Multi-Strike type.
Speed Musou Attack - Salvo: Tap Both Sides of Screen: Dong Zhuo hurls a barrage of bombs within his line of sight, then unleashes one last bomb to cause a massive explosion from a distance. Aiming from different altitudes has an impact on the attack's arc of trajectory.
Direct Breaks
Direct Break (Default) - Bombardiers: Calls a group of bombardiers to throw explosives in tandem.
Direct Break (Alternate) - Tigers: Summons several tigers that emit a shockwave-inducing howl.
Direct Break (Downloadable) - Elephant Troop: Summons a group of elephant riders to trample the enemy.
Stratagems
Stratagem Card (Default) - Incessant Taxation (臨時徴税; lit. "Temporary Tax Collection"): Provides 1,000 gold, but decreases player's governance rating in turn.
Stratagem Card (Alternate) - Dreams of Paradise (酒池肉林; lit. "Wine Pond and Meat Forest"): Prolongs the effects of ability-boosting items.
Stratagem Card (Downloadable) - Collection (取り立て): Provides 1,000 gold, but decreases player's governance rating in turn.
Allied Stratagem: If deployed as a playable officer, Dong Zhuo will levy an immediate tax on the people that yields the player 1,000 gold while swaying them to become a more evil ruler. Has a chance of happening from time to time.

Shin Sangoku Musou VS

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the bombs in this title, though his EX attack and second Musou attack are absent.

Changed Attacks
Charge Attack 4: Y Y Y X: Functions similarly to its base game incarnation, but throws three bombs instead.
Jump Charge: B X: Hurls an explosive fireball on the ground.
Additional Attacks
Ranged Attack: Lock-On Enemy + Y: Lobs a bomb that explodes if the target or any other foe steps on it. Multiple bombs can be planted on the ground so long as Dong Zhuo maintains a certain distance away from his intended target. The bombs may also be manually detonated via first or ranged charge attack.
Ranged Charge: Lock-On Enemy + X: Punches the ground hard, knocking down nearby foes in the process. Functions identically to Dong Zhuo's first charge attack.
Strong Charge Attack: Hold X During Charge Attack: Prolongs charge attack to further strengthen its damage output. Can break through the enemy's guard.
Evasion: R: Tumbles in mid-air to evade attacks from the enemy.
Musou Attacks
Normal Musou Skill - Earthquake (地震): ZL or Y + B: Slows down nearby units while attacking a stronghold.
Rare Musou Skill - Rest (豪眠): ZL or Y + B: Gradually restores health by sleeping.
Musou Attack: A: Dong Zhuo performs Mad Bomber as their ground Musou attack.
Musou Rush: Hold A: Dong Zhuo duels an enemy officer through one of several mini-games that tests their individual reflexes against one another. Should the opponent lose, Dong Zhuo will fling the opponent to the air via bomb toss, then walk over to them in time to violently stomp their body flat several time. He ends the attack by walking away from the target and casually throwing a bomb at them, detonating it by punching the ground hard. If the opponent wins, Dong Zhuo will tumble back on the ground without hurting their target. This also happens after winning a Musou Rush mini-game initiated by the opponent. Can only be used if a hostile officer happens to be nearby.

Strong Attack 1 (Break): Swings flail in a thrusting manner to deal 160% attack damage to enemies in front of Dong Zhuo. Its bonus effect allows it to deal an additional 380% attack damage on hit and greatly reduces their super armor bar. The effect itself triggers every 30 seconds.
Strong Attack 1 (Armor): Drops a bomb, rolls back a few meters away, and detonates it instantly. Deals 290% attack damage. Its bonus effect grants nearby friendly units a shield that adds a 9% bonus to their health, a 30% damage reduction, and a minor super armor effect. It lasts for 8 seconds and triggers every 40 seconds.
Strong Attack 1 (Gather): Stomps the ground twice with the first one producing a tremor and the second one generating wider fissures, dealing a total of 280% attack damage towards surrounding foes. Its bonus effect deals an additional 18% damage to all enemy troops within range and pulls them closer to the user. The effect itself triggers every 10 seconds.
Strong Attack 2: Performs a wide spin slash while flinging flail upward to the upper right. Deals 260% attack damage and sends targets airborne for a brief moment.
Strong Attack 3: Pulls flail upward before smashing it hard on the ground, inflicting 300% attack damage to foes.
Strong Attack 4: Lands a diagonal slash to the lower left and lower right, dealing a total of 260% attack damage to them.
Strong Attack 5: Attempts to catch a nearby target with an overhead swing. Joint War Enemy-Only Attacks
Enemy-Only Attack: When fought as a Joint War boss in the Punish the Rebels at Nanjun mission, Dong Zhuo will regularly stop attacking while calling on four healers to gradually replenish his health. He cannot be harmed during this phase, so defeating the healers first is necessary before they are able to undo the player's progress in damaging Dong Zhuo.
Guild Expedition Enemy-Only Attacks
Enemy-Only Attack 1 - Courageous: During the first tier mission of the Sili expedition stage, Dong Zhuo will receive a 20% increase in critical hit rate if he is not defeated within 10 minutes.
Enemy-Only Attack 2 - Flame Trap: Causes pillars of fire to randomly appear in the area and leave behind sea of flames that can be difficult to avoid. Fortunately, items that regenerate health or provide protection against burns will occasionally pop up every now and then.
Enemy-Only Attack 3 - Burn: Causes normal attacks to burn players. Can be defended against by picking up immunity items scattered throughout the area.
General Tactics
Extortion: Increases maximum health in battle by 4%. Effects increase the higher Dong Zhuo's star ranking becomes.
Greed: Increases healing received in battle by 14%.
Wines and Meat: Recovers 1.8% health per 5 seconds while being 15% more vulnerable to damage. Tactic takes affect once maximum health is at 30%. Effects increase the higher Dong Zhuo's star ranking becomes.
Combat Soul Skills
Heaven Combat Soul Skill: Consumes 1% to 6% of own health to empower charge attacks with true damage equivalent to 6% to 27.3% of maximum health. Will only take effect so long as Dong Zhuo's maximum health is above 30%. Bonus increases the higher the combat soul's ranking rises.
Earth Combat Soul Skill: Recovers 28% health upon activating Musou attack. Also undergoes tyrant state which increases damage by 16% and moving speed by 11% while losing 3% of health per second. This effect lasts until maximum health drops below 40% or 8 seconds have transpired. Bonuses for both versions increase the higher the combat soul's ranking rises.
Human Combat Soul Skill: Increases maximum health by 20% while reducing block gauge by 10%. Bonus increases the higher the combat soul's ranking rises.

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the bombs in this title. When equipped with it, Dong Zhuo can perform the following unique attacks listed below.

EX Attack 1: Triangle Triangle: Charges energy in hand before running forward to grab the closest enemy. Upon connecting successfully, Dong Zhuo proceeds to slam his victim to the ground and causes the energy from his hand to disperse, triggering an explosive effect upon impact. Even if Dong Zhuo fails to grab an enemy in time, an explosion will still occur.
EX Attack 2: Square Square Triangle Triangle: Dazes opponents by emitting a shockwave via one-legged stomp, then tosses one bomb forward like a bowling ball. The shockwave itself will also detonate any bombs laid on the ground beforehand. Inflicts fire elemental damage. Introduced in Xtreme Legends.
Musou Attack - Mad Bomber (大爆殺; lit. "Great Bombing Slaughter"): Circle: Bombards foes with multiple bombs thrown in an arc, then laughs briefly afterwards. The attack's trajectory can be maneuvered via directional input.
Alternate Musou Attack - Sheer Destruction (尾破壊殺; lit. "Rear Destroying Kill"): R1 + Circle: Grabs an opponent and subdues them via smashing their tailbone on his knee. If the grab fails, Dong Zhuo will angrily stomp the ground three times to unleash radial shockwaves.
Aerial Musou Attack - Black Hole (壊滅暗黒球; lit. "Catastrophic Dark Black Sphere"): X Circle: Throws a large ball of evil spirits down on the ground, producing an explosion that sends foes below airborne.
Rage Attack: Continuously throws bombs at a short distance while taking small steps. At the end of the attack, Dong Zhuo conjures a massive dark fireball and sends it below the ground as it produces a radial energy shockwave to clear away surviving foes.
True Rage Attack: Performing a 100-hit combo in the middle of a Rage attack will have Dong Zhuo cause larger bomb explosions while moving wildly, adding even more bomb tosses upon pausing near the end of the combo.

In the Japanese server, it has been reassigned to the first charge move slot and reduces damage by 50% for 5 seconds. Has a cooldown time of 31 seconds (16 seconds in the Japanese server).
Strong Attack 4 - Crimson Lotus (裂地紅蓮; lit. "Cracking Earth Crimson Lotus"): Produces a fiery explosion via stomp before lobbing a single bomb forward. Deals additional shield damage while inflicting targets with the burn status. Has a cooldown time of 38 seconds (20 seconds in the Japanese server).
Normal Attack: Performs their preferred weapon's normal attack string.

Musou Attack - Mad Bomber (大爆殺; lit. "Great Bombing Slaughter"): Hurls bombs at the target repeatedly, creating multiple explosions in the process. In the Japanese version, this attack also reduces the amount of damage received afterwards by 50% for 5 seconds. Musou Attack: Circle: Dong Zhuo performs Mad Bomber as their ground Musou attack.
Normal Magic: R1 + Square: Sends out a trail of ice that freezes enemies in front of the user at a considerable distance. Can hit foes within a fairly wide range while immobilizing them. Best used for quickly thinning out enemy crowds or escaping them outright.
Charge Magic: R1 + Triangle: Locks unto visible foes and pelts them with an array of tracking ice spheres while standing still. Enemies struck by the spheres will be flung into the air momentarily before falling down. Can also hit collapsed foes, giving the attack combo building potential.
Unique Magic: R1 + Circle: Dong Zhuo hurls two Cerberus heads on the ground like bowling balls, then summons a much larger one to rush forward while biting at foes in front of them. After traveling at a certain point, the large Cerberus head explodes.
Summon Magic: R1 + X: Summons mount to Dong Zhuo's side.

Dong Zhuo is affiliated with the flail in this title. When equipped with it, Dong Zhuo can perform the following unique attacks listed below.

Unique Attacks
Unique Flow Attack Finisher: Enemy Stunned + Square Square Square Square: Dong Zhuo's finisher has him trigger a thermal explosion on the ground via flail slam. Despite its fiery appearance, this move does not actually set enemies on fire. However, it can be used to set up aerial flow attacks.
Unique Trigger Attack: R1 + Square: Rotates flail overhead repeatedly before sending it out to daze nearby foes.
Special Technique: R1 + Circle: Does a sumo stomp that causes poison sludge to radially splash around the area.
Musou Attack: Circle: Rotates flail around continuously in a counterclockwise motion. Dong Zhuo stops to strike the ground with an overhead swing before resuming his rotating attack which now has him surrounded within a circle of dusty wind. He then proceeds to end the attack by throwing his flail forward as if it was an iron shot. The momentum from Dong Zhuo's continuous spin bolsters the thrown flail's trajectory speed, enabling it to dart a considerable distance while emitting dark-colored energy. Each part of the finisher is imbued with the slash attribute.
Aerial Musou Attack: X Circle: Throws a large ball of evil spirits down on the ground, producing a fiery explosion that sends foes below airborne while burning them at the same time. Heavily based on Dong Zhuo's Black Hole Musou attack from previous installments.
Horse Maneuvers
Summon Horse: L2: Summon horse to the battlefield. Holding L2 as the horse approaches will allow the character to automatically mount them.
Auto-Run: Riding Mode + L2: Automatically runs towards a specified destination. If a destination has not been set, the horse will instead run towards the location of the player's currently selected mission.
Sprint: Riding Mode + Direction + R1: Causes horse to run at a faster pace. Doing so depletes their stamina each time.
Jump: Riding Mode + Direction + R2: Causes horse to jump high while running.
Horse Fast Attack: Riding Mode + Square: Performs a fast and seamless attack while mounted. The attack itself varies depending on what type of weapon is equipped and whether the enemy is grounded or airborne.
Horse Trigger Attack: Riding Mode + Triangle: Performs an attack that sends enemies flying into the air. May vary depending on what type of weapon is equipped.
Horse Musou Attack: Riding Mode + Circle: Causes horse to sprint by consuming Musou instead of stamina.
Dismount Horse: Riding Mode + X: Dismounts from horse and resumes default fighting stance.
Bow Maneuvers
Shooting Mode: 🡻: Pulls out bow and assumes archery stance. Can be cancelled by tapping 🡻 again.
Switch Arrows: 🡸 or 🡺: Switches between different types of arrows.
Bow Attack: Shooting Mode + Square: Fires current arrow at a target. Can lock on targets by tapping R3.
Lower Bow: Shooting Mode + X: Lowers bow while squatting down.

Endurance Attack: Performs separating attack from the base game while generating a protective aura that temporarily boosts defense. This move is mostly available to defense-type versions of Dong Zhuo.
Sneak Attack: Performs dash attack from the base game to inflict heavy damage on the opponent's spirit. This move is mostly available to speed-type versions of Dong Zhuo.
Missile Attack: Leaps into the air and fires a projectile that turns into a large tornado upon hitting the ground. Does decent damage from a distance, but cannot deplete the target's spirit. This move is mostly available to snipe-type versions of Dong Zhuo.
Recover Attack: Performs separating attack from the base game while generating a healing circle that gradually restores health. Has no elemental variations with each upgraded version. This move is mostly available to special-type versions of Dong Zhuo.

Unique Attack 1 - Rear Destroying Kill (尾壊破殺): Performs special technique from the base game. Available by default.
Unique Attack 2 - Tyrant Whirling Slaughter (暴虐旋壊殺): Performs unique trigger from the base game using the flail. Initially available for UR rank versions of its user, this move can be learned upon reaching level 170.
Musou Attack: Performs Musou attack from base game minus the looping animation. Consumes one full Musou gauge.
Aerial Musou Attack: Performs aerial Musou attack from base game. Consumes one full Musou gauge.
Super Musou Attack: Performs full Musou attack from base game. Consumes two full Musou gauges.
Auxiliary Attacks
Counter Attack: Performs counter attack from the base game by tapping the orange counter icon near the opponent once it pops up.
