- Warriors Orochi 2 will be released overseas. The European release date is September 19th while the one for North America thus far is simply September 2008.
- A PC port of Dynasty Warriors 6 will be released in Europe on October 2008.
September
- Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce has been announced for PlayStation Portable systems.
- Dynasty Warriors 6: Special will be coming out for PlayStation 2 systems on October 2nd in Japan and November 28th in North America. A European release date has not been announced.
October
- Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires was announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with a release date set on March 31st, 2009.
- The Xbox 360 version of Warriors Orochi 2 is given an update patch to deal with major slowdown issues. Koei issued an apology stating that they will enforce quality control standards much more stringently.
- Samurai Warriors 3 has been announced for the Nintendo Wii.

- Koei and Tecmo confirm a merger to be implemented on April 1st, 2009.
