Here's where you can nominate and vote on articles to be featured on the front page.

• To nominate, simply write your nomination under the Nominees section and sign your posts. A nomination is equal to a vote, and it's one nomination per person.
• To vote, simply sign with # ~~~~ under the nominees to symbolize your support. You can vote for as much as two nominees at a time. You can always change it at anytime, until the selection date.
• Once a nominee is selected, we'll clear the nominees section to start a clear slate. You can nominate the same article again one month later. We call it a transition period.
• You can give your Comments in the section below, but any claims of supporting a nominee does not count until you sign under the Nominees section. Take care!

Meh, I'd see more poetic justice in it if we have a Dynasty Warriors character in November with Dynasty Warriors 6 special being released. Though we should do a Samurai Warriors Character soon. P.S. I want to do that as Character articles get a bit 'samey', but do we have any high quality non-character artciles? --Aeonlord92

We dont have many but i was just throwing that out there as a reminder. The closest we have I think would be one of the warriors orochi game articles, they still need work but they seem to be best "articles" we have imo. Dabigbozz42 21:56, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

True that DW6:S is coming out next month... I suppose that it should be a DW character. I do like that idea about the featured "Article" thing though... As a side note, I did want Sun Shang Xiang as this month so I do stand by it. While I have nothing wrong with Kojiro, I just feel that we need a girl in here first. I guess I'm prejudiced. ^_^ I do think that what we can do its have a "Character" until January. Then what we can do is a total revamp of the main page. Then we can start the "Featured Article" thing. New changes to go with the new year? Just a thought. Besides, it'll give us enough time to work on some of the articles that aren't really "up to par" or such. I mean, 2 and a half months is good, right? I dunno. Throwing out that for consideration. Alright, time to play the role of cranky old man that no one likes :). I disagree with this notion that we should choose featured articles depending on what the article actually is. For example, that we should have dw article because dw6:s is coming, or that we haven't had enough female characters. I believe that the featured article only discriminates by quality, not by content. Now what would work for saying, "we need this because a dw games coming out, or we need more high quality female articles", thats what the collaboration and to-do list is for, and i think that changing that to reflect new releases or quality imbalances is an excellent idea, and thats why i went ahead and put it on main page. As for holding off on using an "article" and starting that trend with the new year; all the boxes and pages relevant to the featured stuff were already named features article, with the exception of one, which i moved to bring it in line, so the structure for a featured article is already there.

As for my vote, the month is still young and rather than discussing so early what articles are worthy, we should be working on them (not to suggest that any of you are doing this instead of working, just saying :)), but this discussion of the role of our sites features is a valid one, and perhaps it would be more beneficial to carry it on at the community portal. Im voting for Sun Shang Xiang. And that is an interesting point. In my opinion the Featured Article should maybe contimue as characters for the next few and then move into other things such as the games themselves, locations, battle, weapons etc. But as Dabigbozz42 said, this discussion would be more suited for the Community Portal. - lu-xun 18:41, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Agreed with Luxun, this discussion should be on the portal. The comments section should be about your vote (such as why?) and the nominees, not about the FA section as a whole.--Aeonlord92
