The Battle of Wu Zhang Plains is the final battle of Zhuge Liang's northern campaign.

Dynasty Warriors

Due to his failing health, Zhuge Liang attempted to lure Sima Yi out with insults. Sima Yi stood resolutely, and Zhuge Liang soon became ill and passed away, leaving command to Jiang Wei, who ordered the army's withdrawal. Sima Yi sensed Zhuge Liang's passing, and launched an offensive, but Shu responded ferociously, lead by a wooden dummy dressed up to resemble Zhuge Liang, causing a frightened Sima Yi to pull back and allow Shu's troops to withdraw. Although Jiang Wei continued to fight for Shu after the battle, it is the end of the timeline in the games, with either Wei or Shu winning decisively and taking control of the land.
