Yan Zheng (onyomi: Gen Sei) is a fictional member of the Yellow Turbans in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He directly served under Zhang Bao before betraying him.
Role in Games
Present in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series since the fifth title, Yan Zheng like most Yellow Turbans carries an average war and leadership stat with all other stats being below average, his most noteworthy stat being his charisma which is within the single digits. His character traits in the fourteenth title are both negative as public order within any region he is present on will reduce each turn (Bandit) and his own unit is unable to engage enemy units automatically when contact is made (Cautious). Notably, he is present within He Jin's forces in the DLC scenario "The Wavering Han Dynasty" which depicts events after the Yellow Turban Rebellion, likely in reference to his survival through betraying Zhang Bao.

As the Yellow Turban Rebellion neared its end, Yan Zheng was among the many rebels hunted down by the combined forces of Zhu Jun and Liu Bei. Holed up within a castle at Yangcheng, he realized that defeat was inevitable which led him to slay his commanding officer Zhang Bao and surrender.
