Wuhang Mountains (五行山の戦い, romaji: Gogyōzan no Tatakai) is a stage exclusive to the Warriors Orochi series and first appears in Warriors Orochi 2. The battlefield is named after the mountains created by the Gautama Buddha to suppress Sun Wukong in the novel Journey to the West, which is also known as the "Five Finger Mountain (五指山, Wǔzhǐshān).
Role in Games
In the Shu scenario, after emerging victorious from the battle against Lu Bu at Nagashino, Liu Bei ordered Xingcai and Ina to further gather information regarding Orochi's Forces. As the two young heroines bid farewell to their worried fathers and traveled to Wuhang Mountains, they came across Mitsuhide Akechi and Gracia being held in a carriage. Rescuing the pair enables them to join the group in confronting Sun Wukong who had aligned himself with Orochi.
In Musou Orochi Z, Da Ji, Dodomeki, and Gyūki all share a dream stage here, detailing how they freed Orochi. Initially, several mystics conjure a great amount of fog, but the demon army are able to defeat the ones in charge of the sorcery before reaching Orochi, who has been petrified by both Sun Wukong and Sanzang. After the pair are defeated, Orochi begins moving as several mystics scramble both their forces and send messengers to their commanders. Both Nuwa and Fu Xi arrive to stop Da Ji, while Taigong Wang appears to seal the exit. After defeating all three, Orochi begins using his powers to distort the mortal worlds.
In Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, the Coalition assists Fu Xi, Nezha and Sun Wukong in gaining the aid of the other inhabitants of the mystic realm for the upcoming battle against Orochi at Koshi Castle. To his surprise, Taigong Wang, Nuwa, and Shennong all begin attacking them, but once the chaos begins dying down Hanbei Takenaka searches the central square to find Tamamo, having recruited demons that managed to escape the Divine Mirror. Together, the Coalition defeat her before heading towards Koshi Castle.
