King Mulu (onyomi: Bokuroku Daiō) is the fictional legendary ruler of the Bana cave in the Nanman region.
Role in Games
In Warriors Orochi, King Mulu sometimes serves as Zhu Rong's replacement officer when players assume the latter's role.
Kessen II portrays King Mulu as a hot-headed king who is asked by Zhu Rong to help her husband against Shu. Leading an elephant troop into battle, he is the king to likely suffer the most from any ploys or tricks set up by patient players. Among his Nanman comrades, he is given the unflattering nickname, "Foolish King" (馬鹿大王). He stays in his native homeland after the married couple surrender to Shu.

Quotes
Romance of the Three Kingdoms
He was created for the novel in order to flesh-out the story of Zhuge Liang's Southern Campaign. Mulu was known as a very intimidating man, able to use magic to summon rainstorms, along with the ability to control animals in battle against Shu. Mulu charges into battle atop an elephant. After one of Meng Huo's defeats, he withdrew back to rally the other Southern Kings. King Mulu received him and offered aid.
Leading his tigers and elephant troops against the Shu forces, Mulu was able to triumph over Zhuge Liang in their first engagement. In their second meeting, however, the Shu troops had brought animal-shaped mechanisms that shot out fire. As the animals had never encountered such contraptions, they turned around in fear, which caused chaos in Mulu's forces. Mulu was eventually killed in the chaos when he fell off his elephant and was trampled by it afterward. With Mulu dead, the Shu forces proceeded to overrun Mulu's base and capture Meng Huo again.
