Guardians of Peace

The Guardians of Peace (太平の要, Taihei no Kaname, lit. "Keystones/Cornerstones of Great Peace") is an original faction introduced in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

A secret band of warriors dedicated to supporting the Han Dynasty from the shadows, it was founded in cooperation with Emperor Gaozu AKA Liu Bang. Their members were proficient not only in martial arts and various weaponry, but could also read the direction of the wind and manipulate incense to create illusions. This supernatural ability was eventually honed into an art known as the Eyes of the Sacred Bird (霊鳥の眼, Reichō no Me; lit. "Spirit Bird's Eyes").

Many took pride in their ability to aid others without being recognized or recorded in history. As such, not many people are aware of their existence nor are there many recordings of them. But as the Han declined over the years, the Guardians of Peace found itself torn by conflict as many wondered whether to continue supporting the current dynasty as it is or fight for a new age instead. In the end, the band faded in obscurity with their village laid to ruins through possible civil conflict, and only one survivor left among them.
