Basil Hawkins (バジル・ホーキンス, Bajiru Hōkinsu) "The Magician" is a pirate from the North Blue, and is the captain of the Hawkins Pirates. He is a member of the Worst Generation, commonly referred to as the Supernovas. After the timeskip, he joins Kaido and his Animal Kingdom Pirates, and becomes one of the headliners.

Special Moves
- Fate-Deciding Divination: Hawkins's Full-Force Burst. When enemies are hit with curses (and survive), they become stunned.
- Demon Face: Hammered Nails: Musou attack. Hawkins enters his Demon Face form and swipes twice with his hands, before finishing with a wide spray of nails.
- Demon Face: Control: Musou attack. Hawkins enters his Demon Face form. While transformed, pressing will make him do an upwards swiping attack (which can be chained), while has him do a wide horizontal swipe. Right before the attack ends, he'll automatically release a large wave of nails.
- Your destiny is...: Hawkins draws three cards, causing three attacks (see ) in succession.
- The shadow of death looms over you: Hawkins stabs his sword into the ground, forming a wave of straw that surges forward and knocks enemies away.
- Chances of Escape 0%: Hawkins creates a barrier of energy around himself. If any cursed enemies enter his barrier, unlucky actions (see ) will automatically happen to them.
- "Life" Minus one.: Hawkins creates a straw doll and uses it to defer damage he's taken, healing himself.

Fighting Style
Hawkins ate the Straw-Straw Fruit, a Paramecia-class Devil Fruit that allows him to produce and manipulate straw at will. The straw has a wide range of uses, such as using them to trap enemies in, or shaping the straw into objects and weapons. The straw is able to form nails for him to use as weapons, as well as create a sword. One of the more advanced techniques available to Hawkins is damage redirection. Hawkins is able to store small straw dolls inside his body, and each doll represents a real person and is connected to them. Any damage that Hawkins receives is transferred to the other person through the doll, akin to a voodoo doll. This makes Hawkins extremely resilient, allowing him to survive grave and even fatal injuries.
