Eisuke's trip to Antarctica has been decided. It may be a blessing for Japanese biology, but I can't be happy whenever I think of young Akira.

Wondering if Eisuke is busy with preparations, I brought him the book he wanted without the riddles.

I went all the way to Yokohama to scold him, but when Eisuke asked me about Akira right away, I realized things were just as hard for him as a father.

I can't help but wonder if that Eisuke is safe and sound. Akira seems to be doing his best to cope too. I truly want to see him return as soon as possible.

This is the key to the room Eisuke had entrusted to me. When I saw some nattō wrapped in straw, I decided to hide the key in the one to the left while pushing it deeper within the crevice so that no one else would find it.

Eisuke didn't appear after the expedition team had returned. I certainly didn't expect this to happen at all.

Akira, who came to pick me up, was so depressed that I couldn't even say anything to him.

Back home, I stood in front of the alcove. I wonder if that guy will ever turn over this hanging scroll.

On the Ecology of Indian Elephants and Wild Animals in Africa

The Indian elephant came from 4 sub-species of Asian elephants. It has a body length of 6 meters, a height close to 3 meters, and a massive weight of 5 tons. Despite this, it's considered inferior to the African elephant of the same family.

As such, animals have been able to keep their species alive through evolution. It explains why this wild paradise continues to exist. Africa is indeed a valuable asset for biology and evolution theory.

Reflections on the Fossils of Mysterious Creatures

Recently, a mysterious fossil had been unearthed in China's Henan Province. I personally went to the site and started my investigation.

The structure of the skeleton is similar to that of a human, though there are some glaring differences in detail.

Even more surprising is that this fossil does not seem to fit into the evolutionary process of any known organism. One could even call it an anomaly of what is to be expected in current biology.

The Discovery of Chinese Ruins and Mr. Zhang Bijin

To solve the mystery, I've decided to remain on the field in order to conduct research from all angles. There, I met Mr. Zhang Bijin who happens to be familiar with local folktales.

I was interested in his views and agreed with many of them. We decided to do a joint investigation together. As a result, we discovered an archaeological site near the excavation point.

The research report and views on the ruins will be presented by Mr. Zhang at a conference in the near future.

A Major Discovery That Changed Human History

Mr. Zhang had given up investigating the ruins just when his steady efforts had finally bore fruit.

This discovery could potentially undo everything we know about human history. As much as I want to share these findings through a conference, I still lack solid proof. Plus, there's also Mr. Zhang to consider.

I need to find the key to unravel all these mysteries. If my guess is correct, it's most likely in Antarctica.

Despite paying those fools a handsome sum of money, I'm nowhere close to attaining the elixir of immortality just yet.

Apparently, they're interested by what lies beneath the basement. I've decided to place the dragon key in a box while booby-trapping the door.

If someone doesn't have a gold urn of the same weight, they'll never be able to get ahold of it...

...My life seems to be coming to an end soon. In the end, I wasn't able to obtain the elixir of immortality...

If it comes to pass, no one will be able to leave. A giant snake had just been found slithering within the basement of the passageway.

Just in case, I also managed to hide the tiger key leading to the exit within a chair in the hall so no one can find it.

After all this time, I truly led a boring life...

That man died while the door to the basement had been sealed.

Everyone else wants to go back home, but I've decided to stay here alone because I want to check the basement at all costs.

That man may have been obsessed with immortality, but I was apparently the same when it came to the basement.

For those who wish to investigate the underground in the future, I know how to unlock the device below.

To unlock the door to the archway, one must move the four stones so that they connect to the picture on the floor.

The golden urn seems to have been devoured by that serpent, so I've left behind a drug that may be useful for slaying it.

Be careful about entering the room in the back as arrows will come flying out. To solve this problem, you need to activate the incense burner device behind the wooden doll.

In addition to this, each of the four incense burners in the room near the entrance has something written on them.

Oct. 22 1919

After a long period of investigation, we were able to locate the entrance to the "Holy Land".

It is found in the great hall right next to the state of Amun-Ra in the back of the 3rd floor.

However, the door to the temple is locked and cannot be entered.

Dec. 28 1919

As I deciphered the glyphs on the wall, I discovered that the entrance to the Holy Land within the great temple seems to be blocked by a mechanism. Moreover, in order to trigger the mechanism, one must get ahold of a jewel known as the "royal ruby".

With this, one can finally enter the Holy Land.

Once I entered the aisle leading to the mummy's room, I was suddenly attacked by an unknown creature.

The monster had a beastly head and wielded both a long sword and shield. No doubt it was the figure of Anubis itself.

I ran into this room on my own, though I fear I can't get out.

There's only one remaining ancient script that has yet to be translated. If one can decipher this, they'll be able to enter the artisan's chambers.

If one has a dictionary for ancient languages, they can make sense of the script. Too bad it got left in the bag at the camp site.

There's only one remaining ancient script that has yet to be translated. If one can decipher this, they'll be able to enter the artisan's chambers.

("The chambers of the artisan who crafted the king's foundation is sealed on the side wall of the great hall corridor along with the key to the temple, and the door itself is found between the seated statues of the fourth and fifth kings.")

If one has a dictionary for ancient languages, they can make sense of the script. Too bad it got left in the bag at the camp site.
